At restaurant SAPALTA we stand behind simplicity and the best ingredients. Ingredients and products made by our neighbors, Finger Lakes farmers and some of our closest friends. Picked, packaged, and delivered to us at the peak of ripeness with incomparable flavors. Our local goal is to craft them into a great meal for you, so come down to the lake, have a drink, and dine with us.

*When booking a table you will need to choose a Regular or Outdoor table. Our outdoor space is not covered and in the event of inclement weather we will move your party to an indoor table if one is available. You may experience wait times, as guest that booked regular tables will have priority. If you choose a regular table you will be sat at an indoor table; we will most likely not be able to accommodate changes as our outdoor seating is extremely popular.

    Got to the establishment and told to have a drink in the bar while we wait for table. Bartender never showed and then came by and said “I’ll be back. By this time our table was ready. Holly our server was wonderful. She was very apologetic that every item we tried to order wasn’t available.

    The view, if you dine outside, is fantastic. Waitstaff was friendly and checked on us frequently. The food took more than 45 minutes to arrive and my pork chop was undercooked (even after it was sent back). Once they sort the kitchen issues out, will be fabulous.

    Nice water views and server/manager were fine, however my shrimp was served raw in the dish I ordered and when they remade the dinner it was missing a component. Disappointing given that prices were not cheap.

    Hidden little restaurant with views of the lake, food was delicious, views were amazing. Definitely worth going

    We loved our experience at Sapalta. When we arrived, we were told there were no available tables outside, but after speaking with a manager, we were graciously escorted outside to a table overlooking the grounds and water. The food was delicious and interestingly prepared. Service was pretty much non-existent and it took a very long time to get our food. We sat with our finished plates for half an hour and finally had to ask for our server to bring our check. We would have liked dessert, but we had already been there for two hours and were anxious to leave by that point. If we are ever back in Watkins Glen, we would definitely go back to Sapalta and we would absolutely recommend the restaurant to our friends- despite the service. Hopefully, it was just a bad night for them.

    This was a nice dinner with a view of the lake from inside by the windows. The food was fine… basic salads, a steak, a burger special, but were a bit overpriced for the ambiance. It was pretty basic and casual. On a nice day we would have enjoyed sitting outside to hear the live music. Upscale restaurants are hard to find in the area. This was fine. I did love the ribeye.

    Absolutely beautiful outdoor setting by Lake Seneca. Service and food were top notch. Our server Maia was delightful. We learned the origin of her hometown name of Penn Yan. (Pennsylvania + Yankees)

    We started off with the Sheldrake Moon appetizer and was not disappointed in the least! Would definitely order again to start off our meal. The lump crab cakes were tremendous along with the FLX ratatouille. If you're in the Senaca Lake area, please do not pass up a meal at Sapalta!
