At restaurant SAPALTA we stand behind simplicity and the best ingredients. Ingredients and products made by our neighbors, Finger Lakes farmers and some of our closest friends. Picked, packaged, and delivered to us at the peak of ripeness with incomparable flavors. Our local goal is to craft them into a great meal for you, so come down to the lake, have a drink, and dine with us.

*When booking a table you will need to choose a Regular or Outdoor table. Our outdoor space is not covered and in the event of inclement weather we will move your party to an indoor table if one is available. You may experience wait times, as guest that booked regular tables will have priority. If you choose a regular table you will be sat at an indoor table; we will most likely not be able to accommodate changes as our outdoor seating is extremely popular.

This was a nice dinner with a view of the lake from inside by the windows. The food was fine… basic salads, a steak, a burger special, but were a bit overpriced for the ambiance. It was pretty basic and casual. On a nice day we would have enjoyed sitting outside to hear the live music. Upscale restaurants are hard to find in the area. This was fine. I did love the ribeye.

Absolutely beautiful outdoor setting by Lake Seneca. Service and food were top notch. Our server Maia was delightful. We learned the origin of her hometown name of Penn Yan. (Pennsylvania + Yankees)

We started off with the Sheldrake Moon appetizer and was not disappointed in the least! Would definitely order again to start off our meal. The lump crab cakes were tremendous along with the FLX ratatouille. If you're in the Senaca Lake area, please do not pass up a meal at Sapalta!

Disgusting. Rude. Horrible. The restaurant changed ownership and the food is not what it was. Salad is no longer micro greens and very average . The Morroccon shrimp dish was undercooked and despite them saying they were bringing back a favorite, it was nothing like it and not a Morroccan dish. It was instead served over a soggy risotto by a chef that clearly doesn’t know how to make risotto on top of the poor pairing. I sent the item back and despite not eating any of the food and the manager refused to come out to speak with or comp any of the meal. Instead a busboy?! Advised he could help and I was told the food wouldn’t be comped or replaced because of food waste. The bread was soggy and not fresh on top of being grossly overpriced!! There are so many great places in the finger lakes and Geneva that you should save your money and go elsewhere. Decoy down the road is quite popular. The lack of courtesy on top of the bad overpriced food sets sapalta apart. After being served inedible food, to actually be insulted and called wasteful sets a new precedent for poor service.

Samantha, I am sorry you had a poor experience. As the owner, I can assure you we have not changed ownership. We just brought on a new chef but it sounds like this happened before he started. Do you remember who you spoke to? We do not have a busyboy and not sure who you might have spoken to or who would give food waste as an excuse to not make this right. I will speak to the entire team about this. We do have a new head chef starting and are extremely excited about some of the great menu updates he is making. The food was out of this world delicious. We will definitely be eating there again soon and will be spreading the good word about this restaurant to all that listen. We loved the service from the moment you step into the door until you walk out. The place is spotless and a fabulous view on top of the outstanding food. I highly recommend this restaurant. It is expensive but well worth the price.

The location of this little gem is amazing. Gorgeous views of Seneca Lake. The restaurant is lovely. The food from the Mother's Day was ok. The eggs benedict off the menu was delicious. Can't wait to go back!

Have had good experiences here before. Perhaps it was early in the season and everything not quite humming yet, but the experience dining there this Saturday wasn't overwhelmingly positive. Food was good overall, but not as impressive as past visits. Half the entrees were ice cold in the center and had to be sent back... There was also a large birthday party in the room, which wasn't a huge issue for most of the night. The staff did seem to try to quiet them down a bit at the beginning. As we got to our entrees, however, that table was obviously getting drunker and much much louder. There was a lot of whistling and yelling which made for a pretty uncomfortable evening. The waitress offered to comp something due to the cold food but forgot when the bill came, so we just paid and left. Too bad, hope things can get back to normal. Sapalta was a lovely place with excellent food.

We had expected the 2023 menu but it has been changed for 2024. We liked it better! I’m avoiding bread so I had a delicious burger with bacon on it with veggies and fries on the side. It was delicious and made exactly how I requested. My vegan partner had a cauliflower steak on top of risotto. They were willing to accommodate my vegan friend. The beer was ice cold! Our server, named Tori, was terrific! She was friendly and checked up on us! It was only the third day they were open this season and we appreciated the food and the service and The beautiful view of the lake! Will return!
