Old~world elegance meets contemporary cuisine in a venue that boasts one of the best outdoor dining experiences in Santa Fe. Nestled in the charm and elegance of one of Santa Fe's most beloved historical homes, Santacafé has been a restaurant icon for over 40 years. It was bought in 2019 by Santa Fe restauranteur Quinn Stephenson - the driving force behind another Santa Fe legend, Coyote Café. Boasting one of the best outdoor patio dining experiences the City Different has to offer, Santacafé combines the traditions of modern American cooking with exquisitely locally sourced ingredients.

We went for Valentine’s Day. We had not been to Santacafe for a long time. We loved our meal and the waitstaff was helpful and efficient. The food was excellently prepared with many choices. Nice mocktail too! We’ll be back.

Chef Dale Keyster is exceptionally brilliant at building complex dishes. The Valentine’s Day menu was a delight to choose from an assortment of tantalizing starters- each sounded better than the next. The Main list was a tough choice but landed on the Coq Au Vin which was fantastic. Desserts were equally tantalizing and delicious. It was a wonderful dining experience.

My girlfriend and I went out for Valentine’s Day yesterday, and it was absolutely wonderful. I’ve never felt compelled to write a restaurant review before, but this experience was so exceptional that I had to. As two young professionals, we rarely get the chance to escape for a nice dinner, and this one was worth every moment. The service was outstanding—attentive yet unobtrusive—and ordering was seamless. The staff was warm and welcoming, making the evening even more enjoyable. The ambiance was perfect, with a lively yet comfortable atmosphere. We even struck up a conversation with the couple next to us, and the background music was at just the right volume—audible enough to hum along but never overpowering. For dinner, we started with oysters. I had the filet mignon and lobster, while my girlfriend had the branzino. Every dish was perfectly prepared and full of flavor. For dessert, I had the tiramisu, and she had the profiteroles—both were incredible. A heartfelt thank you to the staff for making it a Valentine’s Day to remember!

A superb choice. Excellent, inventive food choices, reasonable wine options, very good congenial service, nice ambiance with moderate noise. It is always high on our choice in Santa Fe!

Santacafe is a great bet for quality food, friendly and professional service and inviting ambiance. Josh took great care of us and we were able to have a great evening catching up with friends due to the calm atmosphere at dinner. Lunch is usually very lively but last night was quiet. (This seems to be a very quiet time in Santa Fe overall). With available parking and a top notch kitchen you just can’t go wrong!

Always a great place to take a date. The food--mainly appetizers, was very good. Dessert (banana cream pie) disappointing.

Had a fantastic birthday dinner at Santacafe! The food was fresh and delicious with beautiful presentation and service was impeccable. There are so many amazing menu options- we recommend both the sumac crusted rack of lamb and the scallops with tempura mushrooms. The fig and apple salad was really good too.

I’m not one to complain, but a $350 bill for horrible food deserves being reported to the public!! Everyone deserves to be warned! The food was awful!! As one the party said, “it looked like regurgitated dog food” as well as being terrible to eat. Service was just OK. Manager was apologetic for food, rather than simply saying we wouldn’t have to pay. The restaurant isn’t cheap. Save your money and time. Just don’t go!!
