Old~world elegance meets contemporary cuisine in a venue that boasts one of the best outdoor dining experiences in Santa Fe. Nestled in the charm and elegance of one of Santa Fe's most beloved historical homes, Santacafé has been a restaurant icon for over 40 years. It was bought in 2019 by Santa Fe restauranteur Quinn Stephenson - the driving force behind another Santa Fe legend, Coyote Café. Boasting one of the best outdoor patio dining experiences the City Different has to offer, Santacafé combines the traditions of modern American cooking with exquisitely locally sourced ingredients.

We returned to SantaCafe after 29 years to celebrate our anniversary. We were here 29 years ago and wanted to come back. As expected the restaurant was beautiful and the ambiance was great. But we were disappointed to learn the food quality was not so great. Oysters Rockefeller and pork dumpling appetizers were good. My dinner was pork chop and it was cold. So were my wife’s fries. I felt hurried the whole time being required to place our whole order at once instead of as we wanted. I suggest you go to the sister restaurant Coyote Cafe. No comparison on food quality. Coyote cafe is much better. Overall I give SantaCafe 3 stars.

The staff went out of their way to make my mom’s birthday dinner special! A toast, a little soup (since she didn’t order a first course), and a lovely piece of lemon cake with a wish, completed the meal. We will definitely be back as it is an institution of Santa Fe!

We always enjoy Santacafe. My wife and I shared a lobster roll and an order of French fries both of which were excellent. Pablo our server did a very efficient job. Still one of our favorite restaurants in Santa Fe.

One of my favorite dining spots in Santa Fe has become a regular go-to now that I live here. This restaurant offers a delightful alternative to the abundance of Northern Mexican cuisine that saturates the area, providing a refreshing variety to the local dining scene. During my recent visit, I had the pleasure of being served by Kyle, who truly enhanced the experience with his attentive service. He took the time to engage with us, greeting me warmly and even remembering my drink of choice, which made me feel valued and appreciated as a guest. However, a small drawback is something that seems to be a common theme in Santa Fe: many establishments close their doors relatively early. We found ourselves having such a wonderful time that we were the last patrons remaining in the restaurant. Had they been open longer, I’m certain we would have continued to enjoy the evening and lingered a bit more. Despite this minor downside, our experience was overall fantastic. The food was exquisite, the service was impeccable, and the ambiance was inviting and beautifully curated. I can’t wait to return and make more memories at this lovely spot!

Consistently great food, ambience and lovely wait staff. We enjoyed a excellent meal with family and friends with great timing and no rush. Another memorable experience.

Our dinner choices were fun to choose from-very unusually prepared. But, I probably won’t make that as one of my choices when I return next year as the food wasn’t outstanding and was disappointing . Our server was excellent , personable, knowledgeable and fast. He was the best part of the night!
