Santa Fe Woodstock is an extension of the Santa Fe family which includes longtime Dutchess county favorite, Santa Fe Restaurant in Tivoli, NY – the Hudson Valley’s original award winning Mexican restaurant, and Santa Fe Uptown, located in the historic Stockade district of Kingston, NY.

For bold foods in a fun and inviting social bar, visit Santa Fe Woodstock in Woodstock, New York. A friend and I ate at the restaurant on a Friday night. The place was hopping but not raucous. Most tables were occupied, as was the bar area. Still, the noise level was moderate. The restaurant has several side rooms for dining, which is nice, especially if you want to have a conversation. The menu is hybrid Mexican, with many offerings of enchiladas, quesadillas, tacos, and the like as well as regular entrees, including vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options. Prices are reasonable. The wait staff was friendly and efficient, immediately serving the complimentary corn chips and red salsa while taking drink orders. Deciding to have a light meal, we chose the guacamole (excellent) and a lobster (!) quesadilla, which was delicious, full of tender lobster pieces. I'm pining to return to have another one.

Santa Fe had been around for years. It was the Ho to place for locals in Woodstock, Saugerties, Kingston and towns/villages in between. We all knew it was a wee bit pretentious and tried to cater to our NYC cousins ( where most of us locals originated) but now… no question. Hell you have to pay for chips and salsa!!! Pay!! The food is an approximation of authentic Mexican food. But it falls short and it is horribly overpriced. Pay for chips & salsa?! Whoa. If you want the real deal go to the Sky View. Food deliciouso and it’s authentic! And actually had Mexicans in the kitchen, on the floor and eating in.

Have always loved Santa Fe- drinks and food have always been delish. For some sad reason the drinks were terrible and the food was disappointing. I’m guessing maybe they were understaffed and/or had a new bartender? The margaritas were just so bad. They were very kind and tried to fix the drinks by adding something but they were almost undrinkable. I’m going again for sure and hoping it’ll be delicious as it’s always been in the past.
