    Restaurant was quite clearly overbooked. Staff seemed very overwhelmed with the amount of people. Reservation was at 18:45 we waited ages for drinks and only received our food at 20:40. Feel for the wait staff as they took the brunt of other patrons walking out due to the wait. Communication could’ve helped with reassuring patrons that food was on the way or whatever the hold up was. Manager told us the bill was on the house due to the wait. All in all it wasn’t a great experience.

    We were mislead when we arrived at the restaurant thinking we would be sitting in the main room as advertised. However, when we arrived we were led past all the nice tables and taken to a smaller poorly decorated room which resembled a Wetherspoons. The room had clearly been over cramped to maximise profits as we had waiters shoving behind our chairs to get to the bar and to bring plates back and forth which isn’t fair on the customer or the employees as it’s awkward for everyone. Although we were shocked we didn’t want to make a fuss, as it was Valentine’s Day (and also our anniversary which was noted on the reservation) and we had hoped the food would make up for it. This hope unfortunately was not realised as our starter turned up cold and tasted as if had been frozen and reheated. But, the arancini balls were very nice. I ordered a margarita pizza with olives for main which was inedible for the most part, the base was underdone and soggy. This meant I couldn’t eat it with my hands and I had to eat what I could with a knife and fork, dissecting the pizza to see what I could eat which I would not expect from a restaurant. My partners carbonara was okay, but nothing special and he thought could’ve been cooked using a store bought mix. One of the worst carbonara he’s ever had. Prior to our reservation we were excited to have some dessert but we couldn’t bear to be in that restaurant any longer and despite being clearly finished with the food we had to wait for at least 10 minutes despite attempting to gain attention from the waiters to leave, leading my partner have to shout to one of the waiters. We requested the bill and card machine as soon as possible and after we had paid the waiter asked us if the food was to our liking despite most of one dish being uneaten and my partner described it as “okay” which the waiter didn’t pick up on or ask why it wasn’t to our taste.

    Really lovely meal which was all the more impressive due to it being Valentine’s Day. Staff were incredibly attentive, food was excellent all round and they even made a vegan dessert for my fiancée. Finally unlike most restaurants in Bath this one actually had a buzz! Would highly recommend.

    I visited with my friend for her birthday. We both had pizza to eat which arrived promptly, beautifully hot and delicious. We had a break and then ordered the Pana Cotta for desert which was delightfully light and very tasty. Overall, we spent an amazing couple of hours eating delicious food and enjoying the ambiance of the beautifully decorated restaurant. The staff were very attentive but not overbearing and it was a very enjoyable experience. Would definitely recommend and hope to revisit soon.

    Amazing food and service, would highly recommend. One tiny thing was they served us double gins without telling us so a little shock when we received the bill.

    Unfortunately, this needs to be a bad review. I don’t give these out lightly and after coming with my partner this evening expecting this to be a great experience, it really wasn’t. The service cannot be faulted however, the food was poor and overpriced. We ordered the food, within seconds the food was on our table (we can only assume this had been pre-made due to the time taken and the fact it was slightly cold). The lasagne, was just standard shop brought beef mince which we could have done our selves for half the price. The wine for a medium glass was also overpriced and highly marked up making 4x the amount for the same shop brought wine. All in all, the food was terrible and needs to be looked into both quality and trying to save time prepping meals and leaving them under a heater. This should be a luxury restaurant going off the prices. Sorry to give this negative review but this needs to be looked into

    Our high expectations were unfortunately not met. Positives - light, bright and comfortable surroundings; good quick service. Negatives - this is an old bank building, so not built for acoustic performance, however, we struggled to hear waiting staff ask and answer questions; my £20 calzone pizza had minimal filling, very much not VFM; my wife's spaghetti marinara had so much tomato sauce it masked what fish was there; this is clearly a popular establishment, but we felt very rushed to give up our table - we arrived at 19:05 and were outside again at 20:15 - not the Italian style at all ! Overall pleasant environment and good service, let down by mediocre food - which is the main reason we went. We will not be rushing back.

    Pasta over cooked prawns and squid hard and chewy wife’s pasta under cooked bruschetta was one they had under a heat lamp before we had even been seated we and a small table one foot away from the kitchen and the bar area as they had sold too many tables
