We got there 1/2 hour before our reservation. We sat at the bar with a drink and 15 minutes we were at our table. Waitress, Claudia, introduced herself and took our drink order. When she came back with drinks we asked her for her recommendations, she suggested a few and I took her up on the shrimp / garlic appetizer which did not disappoint! All of the food was fantastic! Service was impeccable, never rushed and never having to wait! Couldn’t have had a better time!

First time here and the food was excellent. The place was clean and the tables were spaced out nicely. The service was great and the pace of the dinner being served was good.

I ordered the skirt steak. It was a nice portion, perfectly cooked and so delicious! It came with a salad and a side so I came home with leftovers. We will definitely return!

Sangria 71 is a special dining experience. From the delectable cuisine, that's not only delicious but visually pleasing with generous portions, to the warm and elegant ambiance to the expert, attentive, and pleasant service - and very fair prices - it's and excellent example of what a restaurant should be. It's why we recently chose Sangria 71 to celebrate our Anniversary with friends. It was a memorable, enjoyable time.

I am always very sorry to post a bad review- I don’t think restaurants strive to be subpar; it just happens. Hopefully with honest reviews the owners can make changes to help their businesses. This was our first, and unfortunately our last visit to Sangria 71. We had high hopes- we walked in and the ambiance is warm and inviting. We were greeted and seated right next to the kitchen doors. We requested a different table, which was in the barroom, which was much better. Service was swift, corteous and efficient. We started out with baked clams, which were nothing more than a huge amount of stuffing on top of a clam with a strip of bacon. Okay, maybe our entree will be better. When we saw that the restaurant offered paella, we were really excited. We ordered the paella Valencia for two. I mean, you can’t go wrong with paella at a Spanish restaurant…I guess you can… the rice was dry, the seafood and chicken were over cooked and the whole dish lacked flavor; which is hard to do particularly since it contains chorizo. How disappointing! Now I understand this is a huge restaurant that serves a lot of people and sometimes quality is not optimal. I think if you need to pre-cook items, they should only be cooked to a certain level and then be cooked to order so that some moisture and flavors can be added so that it doesn’t taste like it came out of a vat. With all that said, the menu is extensive, so perhaps another item may have been delicious; we’ll never know. We have limited our “fine dining” to once a week because everything is so expensive now. We realize we’re only two people that won’t be back, but in this economy, restaurants have to raise their game to retain every customer they can. As a side note, we brought home the rest of the paella which I revived last night with some seasonings, bone broth and steam. It was much better.

The service was impeccable. The waitress was patient with our questions regarding ingredients and double checked with the kitchen to make sure we didn't order anything problematic. The crab-avocado tower was fresh and bright. The charcuterie board for 2 had a lovely balance of flavors. The croquettes were comforting and the perfect mix of creamy and crunchy. We ordered too much food, but it was so tasty.
