Sandro's, a cherished family-run establishment, offers an authentic Roman dining experience. Chef Sandro Fioriti crafts timeless Roman dishes, while his wife Anna and son Sandro Jr. oversee the restaurant's day to day operations. Eschewing flashy decor and modern tunes, Sandro's ambiance transports guests to Italy, with its traditional cuisine and exclusively Italian wine selection, constantly evolving to delight wine enthusiasts.

WHEN BOOKING PLEASE NOTE THE SEATING OPTION YOU ARE BOOKING FOR. BAR is for seats at the BAR, and DINING ROOM is for tables in the restaurant. We will do our best to accommodate any seating requests but cannot guarantee accommodation.

As a busy establishment with limited space, we kindly ask that large strollers may be turned away to ensure a comfortable dining experience for all our guests.

Authentic Roman Taste I’m happy to report that Sandro’s food is just as good on East 86th as it was on 81st. I’m even happier that they were the ones cleaning the punterelle not me.

They placed us by a table near the windows and entrance, which was uncomfortably cold. They pushed back at our request to find a table in a different area of the restaurant. when they finally agreed, It took them a half an hour to find a new table. With that said, when we did move, the service was very good as well as the food. As PS... I want to thank Sandro's for their follow up and response, which were very genuine and sincere. Things will happen, how we handle those moments defines us, and they handled it well.

The service is impeccable—attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm, making you feel like a cherished guest from the moment you walk in. Sandro Jr is always humble and overlooking the operations. The food is nothing short of outstanding, with every dish crafted to perfection. The attention to detail and the use of high-quality ingredients really shine. Standouts like the bucatini amatriciana and the ever changing specials make each visit a new adventure. Not kidding they had 16 specials last night! The wine list is equally extraordinary. Sandro’s captures the essence of true Italian dining, combining authenticity with a dedication to quality that makes every visit memorable and eager to return again and again!! Highly recommended for anyone who loves exceptional Italian food and wine in a welcoming, family run, but elegant atmosphere!

Best local italian restaurant on the planet. I’ve missed this place so much. Finally came back to NYC and lucky enough to get a table. Amazing good. Crazy wine bottle list. Even better service. 10 out of 10
