Mandy Yin is one of the few Malaysian chef/owners in the UK, having founded Sambal Shiok in London in 2013. She is a Malaysian-born Chinese of Peranakan Nyonya heritage. "I take inspiration from everything I ate in my childhood growing up in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. Then I mix it up and put a new slant on it.

OK experience, did not feel the food was worth the price at all - quite expensive and not the best laksa or broth - nice enough staff even though they messed up our order, they did try to make up for it. I had put in our reservation that it was for a birthday but they did not do anything, not a bad thing just an FYI that they will do nothing special for an occasion even though it asks for that in the reservation.

Food was lively, service great.we choose to sit outside so the noise level of the street was our fault. Very much enjoyed the food but felt the price point was higher than comparable restaurants.

Food was very overpriced and not worth it at all. Flavours were lacking and a bit too sweet. Much better Malaysians elsewhere, and not as good as the reviews have said
