On our honeymoon. Made a reservation, and when we arrived the restaurant wasn’t open. We had to drive 30 min to have dinner elsewhere.

The food was average, but the service was excellent. The young man that served us gave a fenomal service, making the overall experience a great one. A+

Was very dark on the terrace and hard to see our food but no bugs!

My husband and I made reservations for Saman at Carambola Beach Resort and we decided to share a shrimp cocktail and the Yard Bird plate, which consisted of 1/2 chicken coated in an amazing seasoned gravy and homemade mashed potatoes with veggies. I don’t eat that much so it was more than enough food with a large portion. The food was so flavorful and delicious, we would absolutely eat here again. Our waitress was friendly and had a great personality and super sweet and really attentive. Great staff, great experience, great food. The shrimp cocktail was delicious also!!!!

Too many cats, begging for food.. you need to get rid of a few

Took my mom for Mother’s Day Brunch at the resort’s Saman Carambola Beach Resort Restaurant I would not recommend this place. I left the restaurant feeling disappointed and wishing I had spent my money elsewhere. Although they advertised Brunch there were no breakfast items on the menu it seemed to be their dinner menu. We were there on time & were promptly seated however after getting drinks & placing our order it took an hour to get our food. The servers while polite seemed inexperienced & unfamiliar with basic food service protocols. When the food finally arrived it was absolutely disappointing- besides the poor presentation it was cold, the mashed potatoes gritty, the steak hard, the shrimp & asparagus rubbery & the fish completely dried out. Hardly worth the wait & definitely not worth the $45-55 price tag! We swatted flies off the table the entire time & then off the food when it finally arrived. Two of our party only got first drinks & the third person’s second drink order was substituted without any consult or choice. After speaking with the manager only the drinks were taken off the tab. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

This is NOT fine dining. Just a restaurant located in a hotel that serves adequate food at New York city prices which means it is expensive for the average middle class family. The servers were pleasant and did the best they could but I suspect the kitchen was totally under staffed and it took way too long for one shared entree to be served.

Things change & improve. We had a lovely dinner with great service. Chef did an excellent preparation of a veal chop and the red snapper. The beach caesar was also great. Kudos to all.

While the food was good, it was very limited, and they were out of about 25% of the items. A bit pricey but we didn't want to drive to dinner as it was out first night on the island. The wait staff was friendly, but less then attentive.
