Amazing food and service in an intimate environment. Delicious entrees and fun cocktaila. Good selection of apps, entrees and deserts to Choose from. Definitely a must!

My husband and I had a great dinner at Salute last night. The cocktails and wine choices are excellent. I had a Hugo Spritz, my favorite Mediterranean cocktail, usually not available in the States. It was perfect. We loved our dinner choices, from the cream of cauliflower soup with Chanterelle mushrooms, sea scallop and Spanish ham/brie/fig appetizers to the house salad and on to the duck entree. We ate every morsel of the chocolate torte that our wonderful waitress recommended. The basil gelato that accompanied the torte and the raspberry sauce were perfect. We will definitely dine here again the next time we're in Bend!

Although the food was delicious the menu is Ala carte. I felt it was too expensive for the small portions which were dwarfed by huge plates. I guess you’re paying the high price for artistic presentation. The lettuce on my Caesar salad was “rusty” along the edges of each piece. My husband and I shared a carbonara followed by a chicken parmesan - each. The total for dinner with wine (2 glasses each) was just under $200. We opted out of dessert (though the portions looked huge from where I sat). Since it was my birthday the waitress brought me a small dollop of whipped cream with a candle and dead flower head. That seemed to cheapen the whole dinner experience - kind of a slap for my birthday.

Although the food was really good, they ran out of dishes that we went there for specifically. It was our anniversary and think that their planning ahead critical for not running out of items.

Shrimp scampi is inconsistent. Sometimes very tasty, sometimes bland. This time it was bland. Ravioli was very good. Caesar salad and scallop appetizer were excellent. Service last night was good. Prices for bottles of wine are very high and few bottles under $45. We’re fans of Salute and will definitely return. We’d like to see more consistency in flavors.
