We came because we heard they had Wahoo as a fresh catch and it is one of our favorite dishes. The washoo was so severely overcooked we had to take a drink of water with each bite to even get it down.

Very attentive and personable staff. The food was good, not necessarily excellent. The location is great, and the atmosphere is relaxed. Overall a nice environment and enjoyable experience.

Waiter was awful. He ghosted us and let us sit with dirty dishes in front of us forever. He wasn’t attentive and was a bit cocky. Food was amazing and excellent presentation.

We were really shocked at how bad the food was. Saltine is normally really good, but all the fish was overcooked and took an hour for us to get our entrees.

Our service was outstanding for sure. The food wasn't quite as good as normal. Glad to see they brought back the truffle fires. They were fantastic. The Poke I had as an appetizer was just ok. The macadamia nut didn't really add anything other than some crunch. Beware: the fish comes smothered in a sauce similar to chimichurri. Oily, not tasty and not necessary with a high a grade piece of fish. Makes me wonder if they are trying to cover something up. My tuna was remade just grilled plain and it was ok. Had a previously frozen taste to it. Not great..but Ok. My husband's whole Bronzino came cleaned and deboned with a head and tail on. Not sure the point, might as well just sell it as fillets at that point, again a mild fish smothered with a nasty sauce. He was very disappointed. So overall some hits and some misses.

We ate here a year ago and all felt the food was superb...especially the bronzed rockfish. A year later...something is different. The food was mostly underseasoned (butter for the seafood tower was bland....how is butter bland???), lacked flavor and lukewarm. The biggest disappointment was the seafood tower. Multiple pieces were not good ie would make you sick if you didn't spit it out. If we ever come to Norfolk again for vacation I doubt we'd give it another chance

Pleasant lunch on patio. Seated at high table. Service was good. Lunch menu has nice options for those with larger appetites as well as for those looking for lighter options( half a normal sized salad with half a lobster roll for example). The she crab soup is excellent if you like very creamy type recipe. Enjoyed the sea bass tacos.

That was my first time there. We had a 2:30 pm reservation. They were getting ready for dinner, and they still catered to our needs. The food and drink was excellent. I will be going back again.

We stopped off in Norfolk on our way to Myrtle Beach and dined at Saltine. The food was absolutely delicious! Our goal was to dine next to the waterfront but Saltine was located in the Hilton hotel. Even though it was not waterfront dining, our decision to eat here was the absolute best. Highly recommend Saltine for their amazingly delicious food!
