    After hearing so many positive comments, I decided to try the wedge salad, water was all over the plate and I could not taste any dressing at all. I ordered my steak medium rare, and it was a hard medium. They did replace my steak in a timely manner. I will not order the wedge salad again, but I will always return for the steak!

    Best steakhouse in the area and it's not really close. Wish the menu was the full saltgrass menu, but what they offer is plenty and its excellently prepared. Great service too!

    Service started out very good,curtious ,brought everything we needed,checked back often to see if we needed anything. Food came out in a timely matter and was hot. Everything had a good flavor and taste.

    We ate here for Father’s Day. The restaurant was getting busy, but our food and service was still incredible. We were in and out within an hour. We love this restaurant!

    The filet was excellent. Server Lexi was excellent. The shrimp only average. French fries didn’t meet our expectation. Shrimp cocktail is our favorite appetizer and they were out of stock. The reservation form I completed asked if this was a special occasion and I replied “Birthday” in the notes section and also checked the “Birthday” box. I also mentioned this to the server. Nothing happened! No follow-up by restaurant. Why was I asked the question on the reservation? Irritating.

    Meals were great! Place was very clean and staff was friendly. I would have liked to have had waters brought soon after we were seated (or wirn the bread that came). We will be back!

    We were highly disappointed in the Danville, Illinois location. We have gone to another Saltgrass, which felt very upscale. The Danville one was not organized, well equipped with good kitchen crew, and our waitress seemed quite overwhelmed. We had several dishes and sides missing. The waitress stated the kitchen was very understaffed. She said that she expected much worse and many items missing. That it was a good thing only 5-6 items for a 14 seated table were missing. It was difficult to get refills by mid-dinner. Dishes were mediocre. My steak was so salted that I barely could eat it. That is saying a lot since I love salt. Unfortunately, we will not be going back. The place has been open over a year and should not be having these issues. Management must not have a handle on staffing nor quality of food.
