We arrived and were promptly seated for our 7:45 pm reservation. Our server was fantastic, and he frequently checked on us. We ordered 1 appetizer and our entree at the same time. My appetizer arrived in a timely manner, meanwhile three other tables that had arrived after my husband and I, received their orders before us and by the time we received our entrees, it was approximately around 9:30 pm. I feel the delivery of the entrees could have been done in a timely manner and for the cost of the wonderful dining experience, time management should be key. Overall, we had a good experience and would consider returning in the future.

I would have liked to leave a better review since I had been waiting for months since I heard they were opening but the overall experience was underwhelming. We were seated promptly however our waitress was somewhat distracted with a large birthday party in our section.l which probably should have accommodated with more staff. We ordered the bacon strips as an appetizer but we noticed that we were given a smaller portion than others who orders the same in our area, 3 strips of bacon for us while others were given 4 or 5. Our orders were taken for entrees, we all ordered the ribeyes, 2 rare and one medium rare. All the steaks came out over an hour later and after a table that sat down at least 20 minutes after we did. The steaks were all over cooked and the side I ordered, baked potato, did not come out. After I inquired about this I was told they don’t serve a baked potato even though they have 2 different ones listed on their online menu. Not only did the sever fail to tell me this when I placed the order she attempted dispute with me about them serving baked potatoes after my steak was served. I was offered an alternative of garlic mashed which someone else at the table ordered but I declined since it looked/tasted more like soup than potatoes. 10 minutes later the waitress returned to tell me I was right that baked potatoes were on the menu but it was incorrect and they would address it. The steaks tasted good and the bone marrow butter was excellent which helped save the overall experience but needless to say I expected much better from a place that is competing with the likes of Prime 111, Mix, and Butcher Bros. We seemed to be forgotten about until we were served and then felt rushed once our food arrived. Probably would wait until they get the kinks ironed out before I gave it another shot.

Perfect evening at Saltbrick! Exceptional service, steaks were phenomenal, delicious cocktails and beautiful ambience.

Visited Saltbrick Prime for a family dinner. This place has a great vibe. We started with the seafood tower and what a treat. Steaks were phenomenal. Servers were friendly and attended to every detail. Yummy desserts and cocktails to finish the night. Can’t wait to do it all again.

For their second night open the food was pretty good, and I was ready to leave a more detailed review on it, but there was a “miscommunication”; to pay I used the QR code prominently displayed at the top of the check (Toast checkout) and left a cash tip. About 10 minutes after leaving I was called multiple times, with a message left as though I had run out on my check. I get glitches a few days after opening, but I’ve never been accused of running out on a check; kind of overshadowed the whole experience.

Food cooked to perfection. 14 oz ribeye, chicken wellington, pimento mac and cheese and popovers. Wines well matched. Historic building beautifully upcycled. Lots of windows and skylights emit natural light. In addition, crystal chandeliers and a huge indoor tree. Tasteful carpeting, tables, chairs and banquettes all nicely positioned. Fine dining is a multisensory experience. We choose what we want to see, smell, taste and touch on our table. Sound is all around. Your music was shuffled and totally random, incongruous to your ambience, mood, location and demographic. Please bring thoughtful careful curating to our soundtrack to match your venue. Guests: Plan accordingly for dining or large special events. Saltbrick Prime and their more casual Lockwoods Tavern in total bring 240 seats to 119 available parking slots. Staff parks in municipal lot blocks away. (These slots are shared with 3 medical practices, 6 small businesses and a five story 49 unit Condo apartment complex's guests and workers.) Add on plenty of time before your reservation or event to allow for weather, traffic and Plan B parking, for a stress free dining adventure. Ride share, Uber, Lyft or limo! Welcome to Branford's dining scene and we look forward to returning often.

Very good restaurant. The prices are pretty steep. I ordered my steak, black and blue, and it came out, medium rare. Service was impeccable. Our waiter was Carol who was fabulous.
