The Salt Kitchen & Bar located inside of Hotel LBI offers coastal-casual dining, featuring a bright open dining room with spectacular views of the Barnegat Bay. The dinner menu consists of local seafood, steaks, and chops.
*Reservations are highly recommended. Please book via OpenTable.com
*Our phone lines are often busy during dinner service, however questions regarding dining may be answered after 3:00pm at 609-991-8001.
*10 max party size. *We do not accommodate split parties.
*Outside seating, in season, is available first come first serve with a reservation & non reservable.
*There will be a $5 per person cake cutting fee for any cakes brought in from outside the premises.
*Check-in is at the hostess stand by Salt Kitchen where a hostess will escort you to your table.

Can’t say enough about our experience. It was phenomena food and beautiful setting. Our wait staff was fantastic- Michael the waiter and Matt the busboy were so kind and helpfull and knowledgeable - and funny! Our filet was yum and the Roquefort wedge was so different and so tasty! The fluke with crabmeat special was delish. The best were Brussel sprouts! We planto be back!!

Recommended to my employer and his wife for an off- season dining opportunity. They loved everything and the staff was world-class congenial. Hospitality pros at the Hotel LBI.

Have been coming to LBI for years and have eaten at Salt a number of times. It’s one of the better restaurants on the Island. Apparently there is a new chef in charge and the menu looks good. The crab cake was very good and the lobster bisque was also very good. Unfortunately the pork loin that I had was just OK. Dried out at one end but moist at the thicker end. The sides were very good but for $48 I was expecting better. We were there when it wasn’t crowded and the service was very attentive. I’ll go back next year but I’m not ordering the pork.

We enjoyed a lovely dinner while watching the sun set. Mike was our server and was wonderful. Connor was too! Our experience from being greeted by the hostess to picking up our car was just delightful.

A bit pricey for the food quality. Service was exceptional. Our server Jamie was amazing. Would go back for drinks and bar bites but not dinner.

Started with cocktails on the rooftop… only plastic cups offered which seemed tacky. The furniture and deck needs an end of season cleaning. Salt was very nice and a lovely atmosphere but the food was very overpriced…. Lots of $70. Entrees and when they recite the specials they don’t tell you the price. The salmon dinners were great, and a vegetarian entree was superb but the watermelon salad had wilted iceberg lettuce and mushy watermelon and feta. The mixed drinks were perfect. Very attentive service but too eager to clear the table when there were no waiting guests. Free valet parking!

I’ve been here before, excellent service and food. Portions are a reasonable size, although I took some home for lunch the next day. Prices high but a nice treat!

This is probably our 5th or 6th time at SALT. The food was average at best (3 of our 5 appetizers were hardly eaten) Restaurant is always pretty noisy and although I know it’s a tough time of year because alot of help goes back to school, the tables went un bussed and I felt like we were in a cafeteria instead of at “one of the finest dining experiences in LBI”. Way too expensive to have such a mediocre experience.
