Salt + Stone is the first independent restaurant from restaurateurs Sean and Sue Olson. The couple has over 40 years in the restaurant and hospitality industry working with major restaurants brands, independent catering companies, and fresh seafood and meat markets. Based on years of traveling, knowledge of sourcing, and family recipes, Salt + Stone brings the best ingredients and preparation to the plate in a casual, modern atmosphere.

Located in the heart of Assembly Row (Somerville, MA) minutes from downtown Boston, the restaurant boasts a vibrant atmosphere with floor to ceiling windows, two extensive bars, a raw bar, private small dining area, and outdoor covered patio pavilion that is heated and dog friendly with full-service.

Waitress was very attentive, and the food was delicious. It was extremely noisy and crowded during our dinner so it was hard to have a conversation. Otherwise, I recommend Salt & Stone.

I was here a year ago and I got the steak and potatoes and it was outstanding. I went back this past weekend and the meal was very different. It was room temperature and flavorless. My husband and I consistently had to add salt to the plate. Very disappointing. Drinks were not good as well as they ran out of the good drinks.

Chicken was great. Mac n cheese was not as good and overpriced but overall great. Great ambience.

Nice low-key vibe with a friendly smile from the front of the house. Started with a seasonal board with a fig jam that was addicting! The lobster roll had plenty of lots of meat and the plate came with homemade chips and a refreshing Cucumber salad. Pan Seared Halibut over Jasmine rice was delicious as well. Our server was attentive and a delight.
