Salt & Marrow Kitchen is located at the Crowne Plaza North Augusta Hotel. Chef Dominic Simpson prepares his signature entrees on a unique artisanal wood-fired grill. The grilling technique brings out a deliciously unique flavor to the food. Start your dining experience with a selection of small-plate appetizers. Savor mouth-watering main course options, steaks, seafood, pork chops, and much more. Enjoy your favorite cocktails or a selection of fine wines by the glass or bottle. Salt & Marrow Kitchen offers a private dining room that seats up to 20 guests. An automatic 20% gratuity will be added to groups of 6 or more. Park at the City of North Augusta's garage on Railroad Ave. across from the hotel. The first 2 hours are free. For a unique experience, try our lite Dining Domes, for those wishing to eat outside. Service was extremely slow; also a premium pour of whiskey was watered down and the moved to another glass and re-served after a complaint was filed about being watered down. Steak and dessert was good, but the sides were mediocre at best. Don’t hop on over to eat the kangaroo.

The manager, amazing. the waiter, amazing if I get a rating email for those guys I’m going to make sure that I put their names in. It was amazing. The food, the environment the drinks everything..

Living in California and Atlanta I was left slightly disappointed at the overall execution of every dish. The price point versus the level of execution, left me with a lot to be desired. Food was good, definitely above average, but the fillet seemed extremely simple and I feel like I’ve eaten the same steak at a lot of places for half the price. Services fine definitely not over the top. Choices are limited and Augusta, but I doubt I will return.

It sounds like your experience didn't quite meet your expectations, especially given your experiences in California and Atlanta. While the food was good and above average, the execution and value for the price point left you wanting more. It can be challenging when the service and offerings don't match the high standards you're used to.
