Wonderful dinner at this hidden gem! I'm gluten and dairy intolerant as well as pescatarian. We enjoyed appetizers, entrees, and a wonderful dessert all made to our dietary restrictions. It was awesome!

I was looking forward to Sallies. The food quality did not disappoint and we enjoyed the chefs creativity. Service, however, was less than desirable. There are too many culinary options to misstep this much. We won’t be back. UPDATE NOTE: Kieren was kind enough to reach out to me directly following my recent review. Thank you so much for your concern and your desire to keep old and new customers happy. I look forward to trying the mussels soon!

We are so happy to have found this hidden gem in Dunedin. Excellent Belgian food, nice wine menu and lots of Belgian beers to choose from. The staff is warm and welcoming and we can’t wait to return. We tried the carbonnade flamande, the beef Bourgogne and the chef skewers and everyone loved their meals. The amuse bouche was an amazing soup and a delightful curry salmon served on the best little chip. If they had offered it I would have taken a dinner size portion for my entree. The baguette is now our favorite restaurant bread. You get to choose two compound butters with the baguette. We chose the black truffle and the garlic parsley and both were excellent. We finished off with a delicious Belgian chocolate mousse and a pumpkin bread pudding with caramel sauce. I highly recommend Sallie’s. We will most definitely be back.

Service was wonderful. Food was good, however two of the courses were quite salty. My companions ate the filet and were delighted, however my Mahi was overcooked and dry, which paired strangely with a mushy risotto side dish . Not sure if I would go back, but if I did would order a filet.

Outstanding food and a good atmosphere. Kieran goes is a great host. If you like European food and great Belgian beer you need to eat here.
