Richard Weiss, iconic restaurateur and sommelier, returns to London’s West End with Saint Jacques restaurant. A relaxed and discrete chic bistro setting, Saint Jacques makes the perfect venue for breakfast, a convivial lunch, early evening cocktail or intimate dinner to savour.

Bringing new life to St James’s with classic French dishes and modern creations, the Saint Jacques seasonal menu blends tradition and innovation to suit all tastes – from Richard’s legendary tableside prepared Steak Tartare to a decadent fondant au chocolat.

Saint Jacques’ interior amalgamates the characteristics of a warm traditional brasseries with a vibrant and fresh aesthetic. Key features include the light and airy main dining area, where the clean and organic design coupled with the floral artwork complements the local and seasonal ingredients used. Our French windows then open onto our courtyard, a tranquil oasis of a kind rarely found in Central London.

Saint Jacques is a great restaurant. It has great and cheerful staff. The selection of food is good as is the wine. Nothing to complain about at all.

Excellent dinner last night as always. I think the food is possibly the best authentic French menu in London. Perfect level of attention from the staff (not too much!) and the dining room doesn't get so noisy that you can't her what your dinner companions are saying.

A fantastic lunch in the courtyard of Saint Jacques (when the sun shines in London one is reminded of just how unique the outdoor space is in the St James/Mayfair area). The food was second to none with escargots and turbot washed down with an exceptional Alsace Josmeyer white on the Pinot Auxerrois grape. The piece de resistance was an amazing strawberry tart with basil ice cream accompanied by SQNs Noble Man 2000 Mr K; our cup truly ranneth over! Followed by coffee and cigars, this was a remarkable meal in an unforgettable setting.

Classic French selections, preparation, presentation and follow-up service. My wife and I test a new place by ordering what they say is their specialty or what we know best from our own experience. Here, the oysters were excellent, outdone only by turbot stuffed with a scallop soufflé. Transcendent!

Very (very) mediocre in each and every aspect. There are far better restaurants walking distance at similar prices.

Lovely service , they made a special effort to help celebrate our friends birthday … it’s an expensive restaurant and probably busier in the weekdays with business …lighting could be better and flowers in the restaurant had faded !
