Conçu par le Shimoda Design Group et le Harwood Design Team, basés à Los Angeles, le Saint Ann Restaurant & Bar est le tout dernier concept en matière de restaurant. Il possède la plus grande terrasse verdoyante de Dallas. Située à côté du gratte-ciel Saint Ann Court, l'ancienne école St. Ann a été préservée et transformée par Harwood International en un bar-restaurant entouré de jardins et de lieux artistiques. Il est ouvert pour le dîner, le souper, le brunch, et sert des boissons. La structure originale a été construite en 1927 comme première école de Dallas pour les enfants hispaniques. En plus de la structure d'origine, le Harwood International a conservé la fresque de « Notre-Dame de Guadalupe », qui est le point focal des jardins. Le premier étage du bâtiment en briques rouges à deux étages est occupé par le Saint Ann Restaurant & Bar, et le second abrite le musée The Ann and Gabriel Barbier-Mueller Museum : The Samurai Collection. Il est impossible de réserver la terrasse en raison de l'incertitude des conditions météorologiques. Les tables y sont installées en fonction des réservations et du nombre de convives.

Will is the best waitor ever! He gives such professional suggestions. He was so honest he has been our waitor for the last few times and he makes us feel like we have known him for years. He remembers everything we speak out in prior conversations.

Open Table shows this restaurant is open until 10 PM. I made a reservation for 10 at 8:30 due to reviews and nice ambience. We were seated out on the patio which was fabulous. We also enjoyed our waiter who was funny and polite. But as the night progressed we were told: a.) the kitchen is closing so we need last orders in, including any desserts we would like (this was at 9:15); b.) the bar is closing so sorry- you missed last call; c.) this isn’t usually how they do business, but there had been a large private event that night too. So I asked to speak to the manager. Said manager confirmed that this IS how they do business. Told me the restaurant closes at 9, so I asked if he had a relationship with Open Table. He confirmed they do, so I made him aware the hours were listed as closing at 10- and then asked why they would allow an 8:30 reservation for 10 people (!!!) if they close at 9. He claimed that’s a system issue and that even with just a half an hour the restaurant wove made sure we got the food and drinks we required. Clearly, that did not happen. He then proceeded to say there was nothing he could do for us. And was downright rude about it. I clarified for him that I wasn’t asking him to make anything right- just aware. I shut the conversation down at that point as it was going nowhere. I will just take my business elsewhere. To his credit, he did give us a large discount- although we never saw him again. I feel terrible for the waiter as he was in a tough spot. Food was mediocre too sadly, so I won’t be back- much less with 9 of my friends.

The ambiance and the service were great. The crispy calamari was not crispy, and the chicken fried steak was tough. The meat needed to be run through the tenderizer, or it needed to be wounded. It was also lacking seasoning. The sizzler jalapeños and the burger with bacon were on point.

We sat outside on their gorgeous, quiet, intimate patio. Perfect place for a business meal or a date. Excellent service from Stuart. I had the salmon, done perfectly medium-rare and served with a lovely, light sauce and some cauliflower pieces. My date had the cheeseburger (without the bun - he is gluten-free) with the delicious fries and pickles made in-house with a sweet-spicy brine.

The service and attention to our requests was outstanding mainly because of Chloe. The manager, Keith as I recall, came by to check on us several times.

Deviled eggs are amazing (wish I could get the recipe 😁), filet and asparagus were great, too. And strawberry shortcake was different but delicious.

Our 1st visit & We were late due to a wrong turn. We called to inform and were quickly accommodated and warmly welcomed upon arrival! Our server, Will, was fantastic!! He gave excellent recommendations & prompt attention! Everything we ordered was amazing and we will definitely be returning!!
