My husband and I have been wanting to come to this restaurant for sometime and we are glad that we did finally get a chance to have lunch here. The food is very good and the atmospheres nice. The waiter, although nice, didn’t seem to be very adept at his job, especially for a restaurant of this price range. I was rather shocked at the cost of the meal. Lunch for two, one appetizer, two salads with protein, one coffee and one mocktail was $160. $43 for a chopped Cobb salad with salmon seems a bit over the top, no matter how good it was. And $14 for a virgin Mojito, basically soda and mint, is also a little crazy. I would love to come back and enjoy another meal at this restaurant however, the price doesn’t to sit well with me. If prices don’t bother you, I would highly recommend the restaurant, enjoy.

Generally like Sails, but the dinner experience last evening was disappointing. The hostess - likely a high school or college student - was rude on the phone and when we got to the restaurant. She grunted on the phone to my wife when we pushed back our reservation 15 minutes. Then, when we got there, there were several open tables, but she chose to put us at the worst table in the restaurant - closest to the front door where everyone must walk by. Then, when a manager moved my daughter and I to a better table, upon my request, the hostess ignored my wife when, returning from the ladies room, she asked her where we had been moved to. And unfortunately, the food was not as good as usual. Think they could have been understaffed.

We had 6:45 reservations, hadn't been back in a few years and the vibe definitely changed from a more formal type dining to a room full of crying babies and screaming kids. Of course as is the affluent Fairfield County way the parents did nothing to try and quiet the children. By 8:00 most of the young families had left so I suggest if you go, go later than earlier. Food is mostly burgers and bar food of average quality. The setting inside and out is very attractive. We live on the Westport/Norwalk line and for us it's a long way to go for casual food. Disappointed.

It was our anniversary and we ate outside, it was a lovely night and the heatlamps made sure we did not get chilled as the sun set. The service was good, the food was really tasty, and it was the right balance of service and having time to ourselves. Overall it was a great spot for our special night out and we had a very nice time.

Many restaurants mark up Mothers’ Day brunch — but not here. The food was very good overall with crab cakes and steak and eggs in the excellent category. Service and price were and are very good.

Food was good, staff nice. We went on Kentucky Derby night so they were extra busy and it was extra loud. But definitely a good spot.
