Way back in 1975, the Sail Loft lit the fire for Steve Silverstein, who went on to open nearly 40 restaurants. Located in the quintessential seaside village of Padanaram, it was the neighborhood place where you could get a good (strong) drink, chef prepared comfort food and relax in a convivial atmosphere with familiar faces. The Sail Loft was everyone’s favorite place; it was a hangout where some came for food and others for drink.

When the Sail Loft became available in 2021, Steve jumped on the opportunity to take the wheel. Steve and his wife Judy transformed the Sail Loft into an elevated neighborhood restaurant with a distinct updated boatyard feel. The spot is nautical with a chef-driven yet approachable menu, a deep selection of spirts and an intriguing wine list. As with all of Silverstein’s places, while the food, drink and design are always top-notch, it is the warm hospitality that keeps ‘em coming back.

              This is a local gem but don't go on a Sunday. Food was overcooked and very garlicky. Just not up to their standards. Consistency lately goes up and down. Great potential.

              While we originally hoped to eat out on the deck the weather turned chilly and they were able to seat us inside in a booth which was terrific. The food, as always, was great- our guest had “the best sole I’ve had in ages” and the cod, chicken piccata and mussels were all delicious. Another wonderful experience at the Sail Loft.

              We visited the Sail Loft this weekend and were very pleased as usual. The weather was gorgeous so we were able to take advantage of their beautiful patio and enjoyed some awesome views. The food was excellent as was our server. We all enjoyed our meals but one stand out was the Thai Shrimp appetizer. Will definitely be ordering that again. I would highly recommend going if you have never tried Sail Loft!

              We had a wonderful time at the Sail Loft. The food was excellent and the environment was great. We dined outside and it was beautiful with a lovely view! Would definitely return.

              Sail loft continues to be an amazing local spot in the picturesque town of Padanarum. The food just keeps getting better and the chef is so responsive to allergies and particular tastes. The salmon crunch bowl hits it out of the park for me and my husband loves the New England cod. Other favorites are their mussels and crab appetizers and their shrimp dishes. Try their desserts especially "The Thing" if you love peanut butter and chocolate!

              Had a great experience at the Sail Loft. We dined inside, and the atmosphere was lovely, very nautical and fun. Our server was very friendly and the hostess, Michelle, was professional and accommodating. She went the extra mile to seat us where we requested. The food came out quickly and was delicious. A great way to spend a Friday evening!

              Always love having dinner at this restaurant. My only complaint of the whole evening, was when the restaurant dimmed the lights. They dimmed the lights down too low and it just felt very dark. Wish there was just a little more light in order to see my partner and others around me.
