Way back in 1975, the Sail Loft lit the fire for Steve Silverstein, who went on to open nearly 40 restaurants. Located in the quintessential seaside village of Padanaram, it was the neighborhood place where you could get a good (strong) drink, chef prepared comfort food and relax in a convivial atmosphere with familiar faces. The Sail Loft was everyone’s favorite place; it was a hangout where some came for food and others for drink.

When the Sail Loft became available in 2021, Steve jumped on the opportunity to take the wheel. Steve and his wife Judy transformed the Sail Loft into an elevated neighborhood restaurant with a distinct updated boatyard feel. The spot is nautical with a chef-driven yet approachable menu, a deep selection of spirts and an intriguing wine list. As with all of Silverstein’s places, while the food, drink and design are always top-notch, it is the warm hospitality that keeps ‘em coming back.

              Really nice place to eat either inside or out. Lovely ambience but a little noisy. Food and service were really good and was a pleasure to visit

              The service and food was outstanding, the half roasted chicken special and the agave salmon dish were delicious! We always enjoy the Sail Loft.

              Overall very nice meal. Ambiance outside lovely..inside quaint tho noisy with bar area being right in middle of small restaurant. Salads were great! Service friendly and efficient

              Food was great. Waitress Val was excellent. But we did wait 50 mins for appetizer but Val took it off the bill and a mgr apologized so that was really good. We will be back 😄
