Fantastic experience, service, food, and cocktails! 100% recommend for anyone looking for a cool experience in Sarasota. Katie was a fantastic server, and Cleo’s cocktails are amazing!

Sage has been in my top 5 restaurants since they opened. However, my most recent dining experience was not up to the level it has been previously. We had 4 people in our party, but got seated at a table for 6. The server eventually offered to remove 2 of the chairs as it was quite crowded with the extra chairs. The drinks were spectacular as they always are so we were delighted with them. The food was very good for some of our party, but my grouper tasted very fishy. Someone else at my table got the grouper and theirs did not have the fishy taste that mine did. The server, Marley, was very friendly and upbeat and we enjoyed that. But we were very disappointed in how things were handled for my husband's birthday. I noted on the reservation that it was his birthday and anything Sage could do to make it extra special would be appreciated. They didn't even notice my reservation comment so I had to tell them again that it was his birthday. Marley said they would write happy birthday or something on hubby's dessert. We got the dessert and the only thing it had on it was one sad little candle and no writing at all. And we were charged for the dessert. All I asked was for them to acknowledge his birthday and most places will give the birthday guest a free dessert. Sage did almost nothing and after this experience I will not be recommending them to any of my friends again.

First time at Sage. Beautiful building! Outstanding service from Kathy who was an excellent server. A little disappointed in the food. The amuse bouche was very tasty and excited our taste buds for more. The lamb marquez was well complemented with the mint tzaziki and Harissa tomatoes. Very tasty! Unfortunately, the foie gras didn't have much flavor and was overwhelmed by the fennel chive salad and chutney. i had hoped it was as good as many we have had in the past in the states and Europe. The Thai bouillabaisse had a very pleasant sauce but the seafood was underwhelming. The grouper was well prepared with a lovely arugula pesto. The sweet corn souffle added a different dimension to the fish. The zucchini wasn't cooked enough and hard to chew. Nice wine list and interesting liquor choices. I would be willing to return and be completely impressed with the meal.

For an upscale restaurant it was extremely disappointing. To host a public 80s party on the roofdeck on a Saturday night and have the lobby packed with extremely loud people dressed in bizarre costumes - devalued the entire experience and made our party of year round residents second guess ever coming back. It got slightly better, when we sat down (noise wise). Our server was nice but it took 20 minutes to get our drinks (felt like she forgot us); the food when served was delicious, but we sat with empty plates in front of us for 10 minutes and then had to go to the bar to ask to ask to pay our $400+ bill! Kinda unbelievable actually. The chef was disrespected in this case. Management needs to make some better decisions. make some better decisions.

This was my first time dining at Sage and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal, service and overall experience. Will definitely go back and spend additional time on the beautiful rooftop. On the night we dined at Sage there was an 80's party on the rooftop and we had an amazing time after dinner, dancing to music and enjoying the atmosphere. Meal was very good and I highly recommend the Fried Green Tomatoes as a starter. Thank you to Sage for making my birthday special.
