Sadler's Ordinary has been an institution in Marlborough for decades, serving top quality local seafood and ingredients, comfort food, and Fine New England Cuisine. Set in a colonial style building, our cozy dining rooms feature two fireplaces and we offer outdoor dining on a beautiful stone patio during the summer and fall. All of our food is made from scratch in-house, including our delicious desserts and bakery items. We are open for indoor and patio dining, as well as take out every day.

Was expecting more… Ambience on the patio was nice. Live music was good; not so loud as to be overwhelming. Our server was new, so any minor hiccups there are easily forgiven. The food was unfortunately not special. Arugula salad with fruit was ok but underdressed. Shrimp appetizer had a great remoulade but the shrimp were tough. Veg on both plates were unseasoned. Crab stuffed sole had no seasoning at all. Scallops were good not great.

My partner and I come here often and Sadlers has been our “go to” for a tried and true home cooked meal . This past time seemed off tho and we really didn’t enjoy it as we usually do. The meals were off . I ordered the flat iron whiskey steak - it was a terrible cut and tough and was more rare than medium. Usually I eat half and take half home but this time it was left behind. We also ordered the stuffed chicken , husband said it was dry along with the rice . A little dis appointed this time . But we will come back again at some point . Overall we enjoy it here . Nice place. We would eat there again. But I think the many glowing reviews are unwarranted. The positive is that the prices are reasonable - rare nowadays. The negative is that the food is good, not really good. My wife had the eggplant Rollatini. It was tasty, but it was clearly undercooked, as in it was tough. I had their trademark meatloaf. It was acceptable but a bit dense and dry. Like I said, we will go back. The outside dining area was very nice.

It was our first time food was delicious!!!! Service was excellent!! Will definitely be back!! My wife got the strawberry shortcake for dessert and it was amazing!!!

Very good food (large portions) at a very reasonable price. The ambiance is great but very noisy. The only down side is that we were celebrating a special occasion and indicated that when making the reservation on Opentable, but never acknowledged by the restaurant.

The food and service were terrific! My only issue was the discomfort of the seating outdoors. Perhaps some pads for the chairs?
