Sadler's Ordinary has been an institution in Marlborough for decades, serving top quality local seafood and ingredients, comfort food, and Fine New England Cuisine. Set in a colonial style building, our cozy dining rooms feature two fireplaces and we offer outdoor dining on a beautiful stone patio during the summer and fall. All of our food is made from scratch in-house, including our delicious desserts and bakery items. We are open for indoor and patio dining, as well as take out every day.

Great food and great service. Unfortunately the hot weather forced customers to eat inside. This led to a high energy, noise level.

Everything about Sadlers is exceptional including the consistency to be that way every year you go there. That it does not change when so many things do is quite comforting.

Went for lunch the food was good very crowded very loud and not a lot of AC and it was about 100° outside

Was expecting more… Ambience on the patio was nice. Live music was good; not so loud as to be overwhelming. Our server was new, so any minor hiccups there are easily forgiven. The food was unfortunately not special. Arugula salad with fruit was ok but underdressed. Shrimp appetizer had a great remoulade but the shrimp were tough. Veg on both plates were unseasoned. Crab stuffed sole had no seasoning at all. Scallops were good not great.

My partner and I come here often and Sadlers has been our “go to” for a tried and true home cooked meal . This past time seemed off tho and we really didn’t enjoy it as we usually do. The meals were off . I ordered the flat iron whiskey steak - it was a terrible cut and tough and was more rare than medium. Usually I eat half and take half home but this time it was left behind. We also ordered the stuffed chicken , husband said it was dry along with the rice . A little dis appointed this time . But we will come back again at some point . Overall we enjoy it here . Great patio. Thank you

Nice place. We would eat there again. But I think the many glowing reviews are unwarranted. The positive is that the prices are reasonable - rare nowadays. The negative is that the food is good, not really good. My wife had the eggplant Rollatini. It was tasty, but it was clearly undercooked, as in it was tough. I had their trademark meatloaf. It was acceptable but a bit dense and dry. Like I said, we will go back. The outside dining area was very nice.
