Have been here a few times, always pretty good service and food. Tonight was definitely off the mark. Our server, though noted she was new, was forgetful and almost uninterested in our experience. We ordered an appetizer which was forgotten, after a long wait for food, the steak was ordered rare but serves medium well. They even charged for butter, when the butter never even made it to the table. Flavour of food were good, but really overall a disappointing experience. Won’t be planning on going back for a while.

Took 2 hours to order, get food, get bill despite the fact the place was practically empty. SLOW would be an understatement. Hostess/server ignored us. So…terrible service. Okay food.

We were celebrating our anniversary so we had a couple of perks added to our experience. Sam was our waitress and she was great! The food was what we've come to expect at S&L: wonderful! We were not disappointed. We tried a new dessert: the almost famous buttercake. That was also delightful. We will be back.

They had a special feature that you were able to choose between two appys, to mains and one type of dessert. Our server was great. Just ha a group of loud men beside us.

The server Kendra was amazing. She made us feel welcome. We appreciate he service on our 20th anniversary.

Food was good, but not outstanding. It wasn't busy when we were there but service was very very slow. The dessert was the best part, which was the butter cake. And the place looks very nice. I might give it another chance but I think it's a bit overpriced for the food.

My husband and I took my parents' here for their birthday dinner. When we arrived (we had a reso), there was no one there to greet us even though the place was dead. Maybe two other tables were already sat. My dad has a prosthetic and mobility issues, and standing at the front became uncomfortable after 7 mins of no one speaking to us. A waiter even looked at us several times while leaving over the counter to talk to a bar/kitchen staff. It was awkward. Our waiter was nice but not very attentive. It took a long time for her to take our dinner order. Unfortunately, some of my root veggies were way undercooked and my chicken was way too peppery. My husband's creamed corn was super bland and his fried chicken was super salty. My mom's rice was a weird texture. We really appreciate the dessert cookie they gave to my parents for their birthday, but didn't have the best experience overall. Wouldnt choose this place again, which is too bad as the interior is nice and location is great.

It was a good meal. Everyone enjoyed their time at the restaurant. The food was tasty and well prepared. The atmosphere was relaxed. It was a great place to celebrate the birthday the family got together for.
