Showing a little grace as they just opened… but this experience was embarrassing. Service was horrendous. Took over an hour to get our drinks, and our food was very clearly never put in. It took us flagging down a manager to get any of our food (our appetizer was also a raw dish, so no cooking involved). Table liked their meals for the most part, but my dish (scallops) were burnt. Our server never checked on us once. Brought my mother in law here as a thank you, and was embarrassed at the experience we had. Will give another shot for happy hour once the kinks are ironed out as the ambience is lovely and the outside space looks awesome, but have no interest in coming back for a sit down dinner.

The night started off slow. Once we were seated, it took 20 minutes for a waiter to come take our drink order. Once we got settled in and finally received a waiter, things went much more smoothly. Food is good, not spectacular, but we will return in a few months after they have finally settled in to give them a second try.

Review from my husband. First time with my wife and friends, triple date night. Place looks fantastic however, terrible service. Drinks took forever or incorrect, entire table was double ordering drinks to avoid waiting forever for the next. Staff didn’t seem to know their own tables as they were auctioning off drinks to every table they walked passed til they got to the right table, same with food. Food was late as well, we got our last app after we finished our main course. Managers never came to the table, managers walking around with handheld fans and open container of food instead of helping running drinks or food. Seems all the managers were hanging around and seating at the host stand. Mostly will only return for the outdoor bar but not the restaurant.

The re-opened Rye Street Tavern at the time of this review is a shadow of its former self. We really hope it can turn around soon, but we're going to wait a few months at least before we come back. We were highly eager to return to what had been one of our favorite restaurants before it closed. The entire property seemed overwhelmed on a weeknight by a busy crowd. We were a two-top with reservations at 6:45pm, and the entire staff from the front of the house seemed to not know what to do. While we'll chalk it up to some opening month hiccups, diners should expect more from a place that markets itself as an elevated dining experience. It took close to a half hour (maybe more) for our drinks to arrive. One glass of wine was bad (like well past expired, sour, and shouldn't have been served), and we had to wait another 5+ minutes more once the single wine serving arrived in a small carafe for a wine glass to arrive at the table. The other drink that arrived (a cocktail from their menu) was incorrect. (The drink itself was fine, it just wasn't what was ordered.) Our server was very nice, but just seemed overwhelmed by a full section around 7p. She was very gracious and didn't charge us for the wine that was bad. Our entrees came out super fast, but arrived before the half-dozen oysters we ordered to start. The food quality and preparation was good. The menu hasn't really changed from the pre-pandemic menu. We were seated upstairs, in a corner, and it was LOUD inside. If you are a two-top and you're seated next to a four-top or more, you're going to hear every word of that group's conversation, whether you want to or not. The experience just came across as a property trying to jam as much money into chairs as possible, without caring about whether patrons were truly enjoying their experience.

Our food was good, server was great, but drinks took about 45 minutes to come out. Otherwise it was a nice experience.

Love the outside dining and the live music. Will definitely be going back before the summer is over.

Way too chaotic. So noisy we couldn’t have a conversation at our table. Took forever to get our drinks. The only plus was our waitress Maddie. We were very frequent diners at the old Rye Street but we won’t be rushing back anytime soon.

I had high expectations for Rye Street Tavern having loved the Clyde's Group restaurants I've visited regularly throughout my life. Yet, Rye Street Tavern exceeded my expectations. Service was incredible from our server (I believe his name was Kevin J), hostess, chef (who was chatty and caring), and other dining staff. Everyone was upbeat, attentative, and helpful. Despite being a new restaurant, they knew the menu well and everything went very well. The space is beautiful. The cabbage and brocollini Caesar was massive and delicious, even though it was a little heavy on the dressing. The rockfish was flavorful and the sides were great too. The entree portions aren't massive, but I could only eat half of mine after having the salad. My friend enjoyed her massive salad too (which had beautiful blackberries) and liked her crabcake a lot, even though it was on the smaller side.

Excellent lunch. Steak frites were cooked perfectly with a flavorful sauce. Seafood starter was a perfect lunch portion with shrimp, crab and oysters. Our server was knowledgeable, attentive and fun. Will definitely return.

A few glitches in our order which is to be expected during the first week of service. But the service was friendly and they made everything right in the end. Food was delicious and the location is gorgeous. Will definitely be back.
