Rye Knot is the first restaurant in North Carolina to brew its own beer and distill its own spirits. We serve outstanding plated pub fare. Our top sellers are Dry Aged steaks, fish and chips, burgers, smoked meatloaf, Reubens and Shaved Ribeye Sammies. Chef Ben Dunbar is a master cook whom delivers exquisite cuisine in both variety and presentation. Our bar has a dozen large screen televisions. We have plenty of outdoor seating. This is truly a gem in North Asheville. They have a varied menu, from sandwiches to steak.,On Thursdays, they have all-you-can eat mussels. They delicious, as were the sides we ordered. The brussel sprouts went well with them. They have a nice assortment of beers and cocktails, making some of their own beers and spirits. Finally, the service was excellent. We were seated properly on arrival, and our server, Christine, was very personable and attentive.

What a hidden gem! We found this neighborhood restaurant by luck. We started with the famous rye knots with the dipping sauces, it was perfect while we decided on entrees. My husband decided on the smoked meatloaf and I had the fish sandwich. While my husband enjoyed his dinner , he was jealous over my crispy battered fillet and tallow fries! We ended the meal with an amazing bread pudding! Until next time!

service was great; only one slight mar - asked for a substitution and was not told there was a hefty add on. Other than that a great neighborhood restaurant.

The location and outside appearance of the space is bit uninviting BUT once inside ... it transforms. Very nicely put together. I suspect a great place to watch a game on a saturday or sunday. Food very good! Service excellent. And, Bob -- who I suspect is the owner -- was very fun to chat with. Do not pass this place by.

Food was good. We had fish and chips and a shrimp sandwich. Smoked rye manhattan was delicious.

We had the Mussels, fried artichokes, side salad, shaved ribeye sandwich, buffalo shrimp, and fish and chips. Everyone really enjoyed everything. My husband still talks about the buffalo shrimp because they are gluten free. Friendly, prompt service. Nice solo guitarist played in the background.

Absolutely wonderful restaurant with great ambience and food. Service was excellent. Definitely worth a repeat.

Waited forever for soup and then entrees. Had the mushroom soup (vegan) which was good. Ordered the fish and chips which were also good. The Reuben sandwich which fell apart with the bread was good but needed something to hold sandwich together. Ordered Ceasar salad with chicken and one with salmon. Salmon came out undercooked. Chicken one was fine but the lettuce and dressing didn’t taste good. Manager came over and was very apologetic. We booked this restaurant based on reviews and were very disappointed.
