Sat at the bar on second level, had excellent service from Jordan. Food was amazing and worth every dime. Will definitely come back!

No one greeted us when I walked in the door, a couple came in right behind us, and host greeted them and asked if they had a reservation. We also had a reservation. When we finally were asked if we had a reservation, the host said, it will be just a moment. We didn’t leave from the hostess stand when a moment later, he called loudly overtop of us our party name, even though he had just taken it down. Our server Kim was great- there was no fault of hers. The food- We ordered the crab stuffed mushrooms to start. They were quite good. My guest ordered lobster bisque, steak and broccoli. The bisque was massively salty, to the point where it overpowered what tasted like watered down lobster broth. They substituted with a salad. That was fine. The broccolis was soggy, and the steak by this point was fine but nothing over the top. I ordered lamb chops, asparagus and the tomato basil and mozzarella salad. The balsamic reduction was very good and the basil was fresh, but the tomatoes were tasteless hothouse tomatoes that weren’t even ripe yet. Which is disappointing as this is tomato season and they should be fresh and full of flavor. My lamb chops were also massively salted, and, I’m typically one that likes salt. It was far too much. The asparagus was woody, course and not a lot of flavor. When one of the wait staff came to deliver our main course, instead of clearing our plates first he hovered over us with what he said was 500 degree hot plates and asked us to move the plates ourselves. Midway through our meal, a manager came through checking on tables. He said he was the “sales manager”, please drop the “sales” on the title. Just say manager. It comes across as if they only desire is making money, not serving customers. I was underwhelmed. My guest and I travel often, and a $250 meal for 2 people (no alcohol) should have been a far better experience than delivered. I mark this in a Texas Roadhouse category, not fine dining.

Fantastic service, 100% perfectly prepared food at a fair price. Ruth's Chris does upscale like nobody else and that's why we LOVE it!

The service was terrible! The food was not cooked well. The bread never came, my water was never refilled! The fries were cold when they came to me.

As regulars, our experience fell short of what we have come to expect-both in terms of service & food quality. We were there to celebrate a b-day. From the outset, the meal was marked by a series of missteps. We brought 2 bottles of wine, 1 of which held special significance as it was a 2005 vintage—the year my daughter was born. Typically, wine is opened upon being seated. Despite asking the server twice, he didn’t call the waiter to open it until nearly 30 minutes into the meal-after we had placed our order. This delay wouldn’t have been a big deal on its own, as we planned on being there for 2-3 hours… But that didn’t happen. One of the main reasons we choose Ruth's is to enjoy a relaxed meal, but that wasn’t the case. We ordered appetizers & entrees, expecting a well-paced service. Instead, our steaks arrived just minutes after the apps & salads had been served. The steaks were left sitting behind us, getting cold. Faced with the prospect of cold steaks, we made the decision to skip the apps & salads entirely and send them back. The real disappointment-was the quality of the steaks. My wife & I shared the ribeye, which is usually excellent. This cut was shockingly thin, about the thickness of my wife's pinky fingernail. It resembled what we get when when we order a breakfast steak at a diner. The steak lacked the signature crust that Ruth's Chris is known for, & the texture was reminiscent of a low-quality steakhouse. After a few bites, we both agreed it was inedible. When the waiter inspected the steak, he apologized, admitting that i t should have never left the kitchen in that condition. However, we were not offered a replacement—just a removal of the charge from the bill. 3 of my kids also had steaks-none had the crust that they usually do. Typically, when we dine at Ruth's Chris, we plan on spending a full 2 ½ to 3 hours enjoying everything from appetizers to dessert and after-dinner drinks. We did none of that last night because the meal was ruined.
