    Ruth's Chris is still one of the very best places to get a steak. The Odenton location did an exceptional job for us last night. Great staff, great food. What more to say?

    My husband and I just celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary in December and we are still celebrating. We had an awesome experience at Ruth Chris.

    I went here to celebrate my birthday and before I could sit down I was told by a manager that could not wear what I had on luckily my cousin let me use her coat but when we get to the table we notice that other people have outfits on the are more revealing than what I had on, then they tell my brother that he can not wear a hat as we are sitting at the table we see multiple men with hats on we was later told because we are in the dining area that’s why we can’t wear what we want only if we had a private room my issue is that should be the rule all the way around Ruth Chris really has rubbed me the wrong way and I won’t be going to any of the establishments again and also teach your chefs if a patron wants a well done steak make it well done no one should have to send there food back more than 3 times. First and last time

    It seemed like the restaurant, particularly the kitchen, was overwhelmed by the higher volume of customers so there were long periods of waiting, which took away from the usuaul experience and service level.

    Ruth Chris is one of my favorite go to restaurants for steak. There was a pre fixe menu for New Year, which was a disappointment. However, I could work with it. Service was a bit slow. But the restaurant was super crowded due to the holiday. We understood and our server kept us updated. Our salads came out about 30 ,mins after we ordered. Our food arrived and several condiments were missing from one baked potato, my steak did not have the normal burst of flavor and juices I am used to from Ruth Chris. My mom asked for her salmon minus jalapeños. She was told the sauce would have to be on the side as the jalapeños are mixed in the sauce. Her salmon arrived minus the sauce with Jalapeños sliced on her fish. I was actually disappointed with my meal this time. I am going to chalk it up to the holiday rush and hope it was a fluke.

    We had high hopes for our New Years Eve dinner at Ruth’s Chris in Odenton but unfortunately, the experience fell far short of expectations. Despite having a reservation for a bar booth 2+ weeks in advance, we arrived in the lobby packed with people and no organization. After 15 minutes we overheard a group of 4 people complaining to the manager that they have been waiting for an extensive time to be seated, the manager tells her she can be seated at a bar booth immediately and they took it - which was our reservation! When we were finally seated 20 minutes past our reservation time, they attempted to place us in a back room that was so stuffy and far from the vibe in the lively bar area —a detail we had specified when making the reservation. When pointing this out to the hostess she said a reservation does not guarantee our table and if we wanted a bar booth we would need to wait for someone to leave. The hostess completely dismissed our concerns of our table being given away right in front of us. We sit and were handed a “New Years Eve Menu” so I asked if we could have a normal menu and the hostess stated they aren’t offering the normal menu on NYE - even though I called to verify a few weeks prior and the reservation did not state this was a special event. The special menu items came with an unexpected 30% markup compared to what we had anticipated. While we understand that event premium dining often comes at a cost, the pricing here felt excessive and not quite justified by the service or ambiance.

    This location always hits the mark. From the friendly greeting from Monica, the manager, and staff when entering the restaurant, to the professionalism of the wait staff. We love the happy hour and other offerings. Joseph made our New Year’s Eve dinner enjoyable and pleasant. He was attentive and continued to check in on us. We appreciate Ruth’s Chris, our neighborhood gem.
