Had a 6:30pm reservation and the restaurant was not busy. We arrived 10 minutes early and noticed the dining room was only about 1/4 full. We were made to wait in the greeting area for 20 minutes (from 10 minutes before the reservation time to 10 minutes after the reservation time.) Nothing to get terribly upset about, but when you’re made to wait while you’re looking at a room full of empty tables, it doesn’t exactly scream “welcome.” Still, all that being said, the food and the server were excellent and thus, I would recommend this location to anyone wanting a good “steak experience.”

The service was good, nothing special other than that the food was super lackluster. The lobster bisque was not good at all- it tasted like paste. Which is unfortunate because we really were looking forward for it. The steak was good, great cook and portion size. The potatoes au gratin were pretty terrible, i wish i had sticked with mashed potatoes. The desserts were the highlight of the dinner. I don’t think it was worth the price or hype, specially not for a special occasion. We had the sun right on our table hitting my husband’s face, it was really disappointing.

We had a wonderful dinner at Lakewood Ranch Ruth Chris to celebrate our friends birthday!!! Every was outstanding!!!! Christopher our waiter was fantastic!!!

My steak was well done the waiter did offer to bring it back it was full of grisel which fat in ribeye is ok but this was not that. Cesar salad was swapped with dressing. We eat a Ruth Chris about 2 x a week . But I’m not sure if I’m going to keep paying these prices for mediocre food . Very disappointed party if 4 and everyone had some issue . Salad overcooked steak is not yummy .

Steaks were cooked to perfection. It was the perfect dinner to celebrate our anniversary. Christopher was an excellent server!

We let them know we were celebrating something and the hostess sprinkled confetti on the table and gave me a little card that said “congratulations.” It was completely unnecessary but also such a cute gesture. The food was top notch. We’ll definitely be returning!

We asked for prime rib medium well and it was well done, burnt and was a challenge to cut through it. Not what you expect for $71 steak

Love RC every time! Great to have one so close to us now in Lakewood Ranch. Service and food is great as expected.

We have been loyal Ruth Chris enthusiasts for many many years. Our recent experience was dismal at best. The food was mediocre and considering the price, simply unacceptable. However, we were most disappointed in our service. The server could not have been more distracted and disinterested in what she was doing. We dine out regularly; however we won’t be returning to Ruth Chris again. It seems the brand is on its way out.
