Welcome to Rusticucina, where locally sourced ingredients, seasonal dishes and a warm ambiance reign supreme. We are named to reflect the merging of two cultures; American and Sicilian, since our owners are straight out of a small town in Sicily. We invite neighborhood dwellers and visitors to experience our farm-to-neighborhood restaurant unlike any other. Aperitivo, a traditional Italian-style happy hour, leads the way—think sensational small bites, Aperol Spritzes, Negronis and Limoncello. We also offer a full bar and carefully curated craft cocktails, along with an impressive beer and wine list. Our food menu, boasts hearty, rustic cuisine, with pasta made in-house, from scratch, as well palate-pleasing entrees and a slate of pizzas and flat breads. Our tableside service offers a one-of-a-kind, dedicated experience, and their outdoor space is the perfect landing spot for dog lovers and sun worshipers. We even offer a pet menu for furry guests.

The food was GREAT! Restaurant deal is amazing. All of the apps + the rigatoni = SO good. Our 2 complaints... 1) Despite the fact that the restaurant wasn't too crowded, it was insanely loud. I bought myself a drink just to keep myself calm. 2) Our server almost ruined our experience. While he was very nice, he asked us at least 8 different times (we kept a tally) what our favorite dish was. He touched the back of our shoulders multiple times, which made us uncomfortable. At the end, he offered to give us limoncello shots if we gave them a 5-star review. We told him we weren't willing to do that, but that we'd consider it if they'd comp our drink orders from earlier... and the guy didn't say another word to us the rest of the evening. Probably won't be back.

Wonderful experience. Servers were attentive and the food was a 10/10. Ambiance was nice. We sat outdoors on the patio. Would definitely go again.

I was very excited to finally dine at RUSTICUCINA! I loved their menu and the reviews were good but I was disappointed unfortunately. The service was slow, the Med salad was tasteless, and the pasta was not hot though tasty. It was a Friday night so perhaps that was the reason. However the Limoncello dessert was fabulous!

My first time I was with 10 people everybody loved their meal. I had to go back and try it again. It was even better than the first, highly recommend.

The food and drinks are amazing. Ocean and the crew are very attentive. I definitely 100% recommend this place.

Excellent pasta dishes and very authentic Italian. Wonderful atmosphere for our birthday celebration with 12 guests. Would definitely return.

I came here for the cheese wheel pasta I saw on an advertised post. It was good, but not something I would order again. The squash blossoms and tiramisu were excellent. On a scale of 1-10, and 10 being the best, the service was a 12.

The food was good, the service was excellent, it was fun watching other people get the cheese wheel. Our cocktails were some of the best we had in all of San Diego, the caprese was delicious and honestly I would go back to San Diego just to eat here. 10/10.
