We had very excited for our tea experience at Russian Tea Room on our visit to NYC and will say the interior is eclectic and cool and service was very attentive. The first course of sandwiches was good not great. The regular dessert course was good- decent scones, mini creme brûlée was the best. Sadly daughter (12), who had the gluten free dessert discovered mold on her chocolate pyramid and when replaced with a new one by management, that also tasted like mold. So, needless to say we were left disappointed, especially considering the high price.

The Russian Tea Roon is a classic must see but I wish the food would have been better. It was good but I was expecting great. The restaurant itself is beautiful and a classic. The service was exceptional. I would probably go back but to the bar for a drink not necessarily dinner.

Excellent service. Good was delicious & tasted fresh. Champagne was crisp & dry. Ambience was a bit too empty/quiet. Fairly overpriced.

Great!.. Never been Before, so it was a Great Experience.. We were informed by Waiter that we were sitting at the Tootsie Table which we did not realize.. Very Cool. Experience was Great Food was Great, Except for the Bread Service, Would Have been better if the bread were warm.. Otherwise All was Great

We celebrated a birthday and selected the Royal high tea $160 per person. We enjoy caviar, but the size of the 4 pieces of caviar on the blinis were the size of a dime-nickel. The sandwiches were pretty tasty - none of us enjoyed the flat iron steak - over-cooked. The pastry - mini red velvet and chocolate cupcakes were similar to grocery-store bought cupcakes - nothing special. Scones pretty good. I wouldn't have high tea here again - my fav high tea - London Langham. For the price point - I was expecting something similar to the Langham.

We had a wonderful time. I took my best friend and my daughter there for my daughter‘s birthday. It was elegant. everything about the place was perfect.

My first time! Such a wonderful experience! You can feel the history of the location. Service was impeccable and the food was excellent!
