The hostess was so nice! The restaurant is gorgeous! The service was almost a joke it was so bad. I assume the waitress didn't like our age or possibly the fact we are heavily tattooed? The other guests were considerably older- but she had a lot of energy for them and barely- very seriously barely- spoke to us. The food was decidedly mediocre but plated nicely. Honestly, at this price point I would expect to be treated better. It wouldn't have been so bad if it wasn't starkly contrasted against hearing her go into detail about dishes and offer appetizers and drinks to other tables. We spent $250 for three people, she didn't ask if I wanted a second glass of wine until after all the plates were cleared. Would not recommend. Go somewhere you're wanted!

Lovely and iconic dining experience! Impeccable cuisine and terrific service. Could not have been better! Loved it!

Lovely ambiance, tremendous service, food was delicious but overpriced. Wonderful place to celebrate a birthday!!

I was looking forward to this visit, unfortunately it was horrible. From the service to the cold vareniki this was just bad. For being such an iconic place it’s definitely lost it. There are better places around for delicious Russian food.

I'm dreaming about my sumptuous dinner last night! Everything was incredible and the ambience is very special. I have done alot of world travel and the,Russian Tea Room is one of the best restaurants I've ever been to.

A New York institution, dining here is definitely a treat. The good and wine were excellent but the service seemed odd. We twice had to ask for cutlery (I mean, a bowl of soup but no spoon?) and getting refills on water involved 2-3 people each time. Our check was delivered and the server literally hovered over the table until our host plumped up his card. The restaurant was not busy but we felt like we’d overstayed for some reason. She was very friendly and made some great recommendations but the deployment needed some fine tuning.

Excellent food and cocktails. The hostess was delightful! Service was good. Servers, however, were not particularly friendly. Especially the gentleman serving the bread.

Was very clear this was a special occasion birthday. Other tables were given a birthday dessert. We did t get one and it was really too bad as it was a 21st birthday. We reminded them when we got there. Also a staff member made a comment for us to take our masks off when we arrived. I felt that was uncalled for
