Russells on Macklind is a neighborhood restaurant that serves seasonal farm to table dinner and weekend brunch. We are well known for our extensive bakery offerings as well as a bar that features seasonal cocktails, local craft beers, and wine. Russells is located in a renovated 100 year old building at the corner of Murdoch and Macklind in the Southampton neighborhood of St. Louis. We pride ourselves on serving exceptional food in a warm and inviting neighborhood atmosphere.

Very disappointed to find a BONE the size of a quarter in my breakfast burrito and nothing was done to make up for the terrible experience of taking a bite and almost breaking a tooth. Happy to have survived and that I did not choke and die as it was a very large size pork bone. Plus the kitchen did not believe such a thing until it was sent back and seen. Will not return. Do not order the breakfast burrito. You might just choke and easily die.

Hi Rachel, I am so sorry that happened. I was told that your server gave you a cinnamon roll on the house and offered you free pastries and another breakfast sandwich, but she also said nothing was mentioned about the bone until you got to the end of eating the burrito. We never want anyone to leave upset and your server truly thought she resolved the issue. If you would like to come back I will have a gift card waiting for you at the counter, just let me know. Again we are so sorry, Maggie.

Everything was delicious as always. Server (male and upstairs. I cannot remember his name unfortunately - thanks to pregnancy brain) was top notch! Can’t wait to go back again.

Dinner at Russells is one of our favorite summer experiences. We make it a point to get there at least 2 or 3 times during the porch season. We always look forward to it. Last night left us wondering if there is a new owner, new chef or just a snafu, understaffed kind of night. We had taken our son for his birthday so we wanted it to be as nice as usual and we were all disappointed. Food was fine but not excellent as it usually is. Our waitperson was friendly but almost invisible. Our food was quite late in coming and there was no explanation. It was a frustrating night.

We always manage to eat at Russell’s when we are in St Louis and we have never been disappointed! It always exceeds expectations with just delicious food! Make sure you go on a weekend and get a cinnamon roll!! We were seated outside this morning for a delightful brucnh and Maggie did a great job as our server!

Excellent! We could not have asked for a better place to celebrate our 21st anniversary. Everything from the space to the food to the service was spot on. We WILL be back!

This was my first visit to Russell’s and our Server, Nikki, was amazing!! The food was well seasoned and fresh. Definitely will return again!!
