Located on the historic Lake Ivanhoe, Russell's offers an upscale casual dining restaurant and bar featuring an innovative and fresh menu, all with an amazing view and atmosphere.

Chef Emmanual Clement has created a varied and exciting menu based on his international experience.
Some of our favorite suggestions include:
Artisan Charcuterie Board, Roasted Beets & Burrata Napoleon & Octopus Escabeche (we cure our own meats)
Entrees: Grilled Swordfish with Sorrel Sauce, Crispy Duck Confit & Tenderloin Au Poivre (all sauces made fresh in house)

Beautiful evening. From the friendly staff and wonderful waitress. I had the salmon which was absolutely delicious. Very enjoyable.

Great experience as always. The food is fantastic. Highly recommend the frog legs the octopus and the burger.... Can't go wrong with any of these choices. Oh and try and get a table by the windows for a lovely sunset view

Our waitress and the manager were great. The food took a little long and they kept apologizing so at least they acknowledged it. We were in no hurry so it was a great night.

I absolutely love coming to this restaurant. The food and the people are great. The ambiance is a bonus, I would recommend this restaurant to anybody.

Arrived at 10 am for brunch. Only one other table. Ordered by 1010. Food didn’t arrive til after 1045. Menu looked great but expensive. Food very poorly prepared. Pork sausage undercooked. Hash browns ordered crispy actually wet. Rueban creasy and fatty almost inedible. Scrambled eggs tough and chewy. Ingredients should have been good but poorly executed and slow. Something very off in back of the house. Sitting here hoping I don’t get ill. Won’t be back unless I hear they’ve fixed it

A Buzzing NYE! But Our Table Missed the Memo I get it… New Year’s Eve is chaos. But Russell’s on Lake Ivanhoe didn’t just stumble, they managed to trip, tumble and land flat on the Prosecco cork. We arrived at 8pm to a lively scene of conversations flowing, regulars being doted on and the waiter next to us who could moonlight as a talk show host. (A solid note from someone who works in television.) Meanwhile, our table was left marooned in a desert of neglect. It took a comically long time for anyone to even notice we existed. Apparently, we weren’t part of the “Russell’s in-crowd.” I had requested a window seat in advance to bask in the lake’s beauty. Instead, we were dumped in the middle of the dining room’s busiest intersection, a prime spot for foot traffic, but not for ambiance. Romantic views? More like bumper cars of waitstaff. The food, to its credit, was solid. The tuna tartare was fresh, the pork belly was passable, and the short ribs, though edging on arid, had potential. The bread??? Warm and delightful but why did it arrive so late it felt like dessert! The Prosecco fiasco, however, was unforgettable… our waitress fumbled the cork removal like it was her first rodeo and another staff member casually walked by as if enjoying the show. Where is the teamwork! The stark divide between the buzzing vibe and our underwhelming experience was impossible to ignore. Russell’s might shine for regulars, but for us… two women who look like Kamala Harris, the magic never made it to our table. Would I return? Doubtful. Decent food, YES! But good service isn’t just an optional side dish.

Service, ambiance, and cocktails were top notch. Husband’s salad and entry were also top notch. However, I ordered the chef’s special, and it was hardly edible. I should’ve sent it back, but we had already waited a very long time, and husband was already dining. The fillet was so tough very overcooked - well done through and through, tough as nails. Paid nearly $70 for 2 bites of prawns. So disappointing for a special occasion, Christmas Eve dinner.
