Runa Farm, is an intensely rustic inspired hotel, country pub and wedding venue quite unlike any other, combining natural rural beauty with cool Balearic vibes to deliver something wholly unique, as its guests will discover…

In brief, it was our plan to create an individual and special destination for “boho, honest and earthy” experiences with the farm and its produce at the very heart.

The result is a loveable, laid-back and luxurious County Durham country retreat complete with standout spaces and suites, cool glamping and field-to-fork dining, inviting people to gather, feast, stay, and enjoy every element of its feelgood spirit and endless appeal.

we all had a lovely time dining with you on Sunday 15th. We have been to your restaurant on a few occasions now, newer had a problem. The food was of excellent quality but I was a little disappointed with the very little amount of beef that was on my plate. I ordered pink which was fine but the two thin slices were no thicker than sliced parma ham. A little mean for the price of the meal. It wouldn't put me off returning again but I feel it should be addressed. Thankyou Julie Middleton

The food was brilliant- the cost of the drinks was a little expensive-£30 for a bottle of wine and over £6 for a pint

Evening meal was too expensive for the quality. The food was good but not worth the prices charged. The drinks were really expensive too. Reduce the bar and menu prices by around 25% for the right balance of quality and value for money. We would have ended up having dessert and another couple of drinks if it wasn't so expensive. Breakfast was really good and would happily pay the price every time

This is a lovely place and the food we had was good although the menu we thought was very limited. We had tried to book a table for 6.30 on Saturday but the only table we could get was 15.45. There was a wedding, a 70th birthday and a baby shower all booked in and the food was very slow arriving. As it happens we had wanted a later table so it wasn’t a big issue and the staff offered us a free drink and 15% reduction on the bill and were very apologetic so we can’t really complain. There was only one other couple eating so if the kitchen couldn’t cope then perhaps they should close the restaurant when they have a wedding on as well. All in all we had a nice time as we had time to spare and we would return in the future.

Outstanding service by all the staff at Runa, we are here a year ago getting married and the master of ceremonies spotted us and came over and discounted the bill as a gift from Runa. Food is amazing, staff are amazing, would highly recommend to anyone.

Runa Farm never disappoints. We had friends visiting from the South and they both commented on how lovely it was, and how good the food was. Can highly recommend Runa Farm, great atmosphere, very attentive people looking after us, and the food was lovely, thank you again. We will be back soon in the very near future.

Lovely little find ! We got a hot tub stay and it was amazing ! Not much choice for food but we enjoyed it
