Chef Ali Mesghali’s love of cooking began while growing up in Esfahan, Iran and Los Angeles, California. This interest grew to become a passion and a career after Ali moved to Atlanta, Georgia. In the kitchen, as well as in the dining room, Ali is known for his pursuit of perfection, his intensity and a love for what he does. This unending aspiration for perfection has been instrumental in establishing the standard for Persian cuisine in Atlanta. His unique and flavorful touch has been wowing patrons at Rumi’s Kitchen and has created a place where people want to visit again and again. Our server was phenomenal - made a business lunch pleasant and fun. A mixed group who had and had not dined at Rumi’s, and took great care of us.

Wow wow wow! Rumi’s spared no expense for their ambiance, food, wine, and service. We went here to celebrate our birthdays and it did not disappoint! We can’t wait to go back!

Rumi's was an all around wonderful experience. The service was spectacular. We started with some speciality cocktails, which were beautiful and tasty. We had a good selection of appetizers - hummus, falafel, spinach salad, buratta, and lots of bread. Everything was delicious but everyone espeically raved about the falafel. The entre portions are large so we got a few for the table and shared family style. The sea bass was out of this world. Best I've had. We enjoyed a few varieties of rice along with the spare ribs and some of the "king's beef." Everything was spectacular. Save room for desert. We sat on the patio which was much easier for talking as the inside gets very busy and energetic. I highly recommend this place.

I’d heard and read rave reviews, so I had extremely high expectations. Unfortunately, the dining experience was mediocre at best. I had an 11:30am lunch reservation yet waited at the hostess station while she was on a call, for far too long when the restaurant was virtually empty. After ordering, the server returned to tell me that the lamb dish she recommended would not be available for an hour??? The dishes were forgettable, the server was nice, but apparently out of synch with the chef, and the price was totally outrageous given the short comings. I doubt that I will return and it’s likely I will repeat this story if asked.
