Chef Ali Mesghali"s nearly lifelong love of cooking combined with his love for Sufism brought to life for the first time in Atlanta's culinary scene the concept of Rumi's Kitchen in 2005.
At Rumi's Kitchen, Ali has been able to artfully bring together an atmosphere full of joyous energy with attentive and generous Persian hospitality along with the unforgettable unique aromas and flavors of the Persian cuisine which is truly reflective of his simple intention to bring joy and happiness to the overall dining experience of the guests. Every member of the team at Rumi's Kitchen strives in delivering the service that is demanded by such a unique intention and vision.
While Rumi's Kitchen is a Persian restaurant at its core, the menu is constantly supplemented by dishes pulling influences from other countries, keeping the cuisine at the forefront of the dining scene in Atlanta.

    Rumi’s Avalon does an incredible job of redefining what it means to eat in a shopping center. The food is fantastic, complex and fresh, the service is kind and informative and the environment is sophisticated and comfortable. Jessica was an exceptional server, answering all of our questions and providing decisive and delicious recommendations. This is my third time to the restaurant and I will definitely be back again!

    Always a fabulous meal at Rumi’s. Our server Matthew was very attentive and informative- especially with some food allergies. It is loud inside and table are close and cozy. Food is excellent

    Jessica is awesome. Did a great job of relating to us and answering questions. Allowed me to see a little bit of “how the sausage is made” kinda thing. Food is great. Sea Bass may be one of the best items in Atlanta. So damn good. One of our fav spots!

    A few years ago, Rumi''s Kitchen was our introduction Persisan food which we now love. We always enjoy dining at Rumi's which offers many menu items. Service is always great.

    Made a reservation, seated 45 minutes after the reservation time, sat at a high top in the corner, minimal to no air, but food was good.

    I arrived for my 7 PM reservation at 6:55 PM and checked in with front desk. At the time we were informed that there were no available tables indoor and that it would be short wait. I said we would wait for an indoor table as my reservation did not inform me that I would need to sit in 95 F heat to eat at this restaurant. We then were seated indoors at 7:50 PM. 50 minutes after our reservation and 55 minutes after we checked in. On top of it I just received an email saying that I did not honor my reservation when in reality the restaurant did not honor their scheduled seating time for us. The food was wonderful and staff was polite, but I will never eat at this location again. Management completely dropped the ball on how they handle reservations. It was a disorganized mess.

    Rumi's success is turning towards the negative a 7 PM reservation, we checked-in early and we weren't seated until 7:50 PM with a cluster of 5 individuals attempting to manage the chaos at the check-in station. Had to escalate to General Manager, but this has occurred on our last two visits, seems like prime time overbooking.

    Tables are way too close together. You can barely walk to the bathroom or get out. We had reservations at 8:00 pm for our anniversary and were seated at the high top at the bar. We asked to be moved, which they did. Sea bass came out Luke warm but we didn’t complain so that’s on us. They were crazy busy for a Tuesday in the summer. We love Rumis but last night they were a bit off.
