Chef Ali Mesghali"s nearly lifelong love of cooking combined with his love for Sufism brought to life for the first time in Atlanta's culinary scene the concept of Rumi's Kitchen in 2005.
At Rumi's Kitchen, Ali has been able to artfully bring together an atmosphere full of joyous energy with attentive and generous Persian hospitality along with the unforgettable unique aromas and flavors of the Persian cuisine which is truly reflective of his simple intention to bring joy and happiness to the overall dining experience of the guests. Every member of the team at Rumi's Kitchen strives in delivering the service that is demanded by such a unique intention and vision.
While Rumi's Kitchen is a Persian restaurant at its core, the menu is constantly supplemented by dishes pulling influences from other countries, keeping the cuisine at the forefront of the dining scene in Atlanta.

    Tables are way too close together. You can barely walk to the bathroom or get out. We had reservations at 8:00 pm for our anniversary and were seated at the high top at the bar. We asked to be moved, which they did. Sea bass came out Luke warm but we didn’t complain so that’s on us. They were crazy busy for a Tuesday in the summer. We love Rumis but last night they were a bit off.

    This place is always amazing and never disappointed! Shout out to Crystal, our server. I’d give her 10 stars if I could! Best ever!

    It was very warm in the restaurant. No AC or ceiling fans. Also shrimp was overcooked. I do love the menu and experiences have always been very good.

    Ambience was ok.. it’s truly the food that made this a night to forget. The flavor was lacking and there was something that looked like a sugar cube in my rice. If it was in fact a sugar cube, it simply turns me off as I feel there are other ways to make rice flavorful. In addition my husbands food had a piece of melted plastic in it. For a restaurant in the heart of Alpharetta that is not exactly affordable, the food was subpar at best. Positives: Waitress was very friendly and the manager did comp my husband’s meal. Unfortunately I’d rather pay these prices elsewhere for better quality.

    The food and service were amazing, as usual. This is our "go-to" restaurant at Avalon.

    Great food. Fantastic decor. Worst service I have ever experienced. Server ignored us for 30minutes. Had to have other waiters track him down. Food took 40 minutes which I am sure was no fault of the kitchen because I watched 3 couples get seated after us, have their entire meal, and pay. Had to ask for the check twice. First time I have ever left no tip in my entire life

    Always amazing experience at Rumi’s. Food, decor and service are amazing. Our waiter William is unbelievable. He went out of his way to ensure our twins had a special birthday dinner. He was super friendly, knowledgeable and made our evening memorable!
