Chef Ali Mesghali"s nearly lifelong love of cooking combined with his love for Sufism brought to life for the first time in Atlanta's culinary scene the concept of Rumi's Kitchen in 2005.
At Rumi's Kitchen, Ali has been able to artfully bring together an atmosphere full of joyous energy with attentive and generous Persian hospitality along with the unforgettable unique aromas and flavors of the Persian cuisine which is truly reflective of his simple intention to bring joy and happiness to the overall dining experience of the guests. Every member of the team at Rumi's Kitchen strives in delivering the service that is demanded by such a unique intention and vision.
While Rumi's Kitchen is a Persian restaurant at its core, the menu is constantly supplemented by dishes pulling influences from other countries, keeping the cuisine at the forefront of the dining scene in Atlanta.

Outdoor seating is as big as indoor seating. I ordered the Soltani platter that comes with two kinds of beef kabobs. The ground beef kabob was a bit firm in texture, but still really flavorful. The other beef kabob was more flat and tender meat. My friend ordered the lamb kabob cooked to medium rare, but came out more medium (I think medium is their standard). The lamb was delicious nonetheless. Drinks had: Love and Poetry, Persian Sunset, and Glimpse of Paradise. They're all good. I recommend Persian Sunset if you like bourbon, you really taste all of the ingredients in this drink--not one overpowering the other. If you like mojitos, Glimpse of Paradise is the drink for you. Asked for some club soda to my 2nd order of Glimpse of Paradise because it was a bit sweet for me (it's not an overly sweet drink though--I prefer less sweet in general).

We had a fantastic experience at Rumi's Kitchen! The food was superb. I could taste the quality of the olive oil, which is impressive. The service was excellent, too. We will be back!

We decided to celebrate our anniversary at Rumi's Kitchen (Avalon location), & what a great decision. The ambiance was nice, the food / drinks were delicious, and most of all the staff was AWESOME!! My honorable mentions for the night were our two servers Jordan (who got us started), and William (who took over)... Both were great!!: Kind, friendly, personable, professional, and menu knowledgeable. This is the kind of service that will keep me coming back to Rumi's Kitchen, and that I'll forever expect from this awesome location. HUGE Thank you to both (Mr. Jordan, & Mr. William) for being such wonderful servers, and for making our evening all we hoped it could be! **Special shout out to Mr. William for taking (several) pics of us throughout our dining experience, and for acknowledging the importance of our 11th marital anniversary.. The "treat" was great!

We love this place. Some of the 2 person tables seem to be crammed in and forced to sit very close to others. Maybe need to have a few less tables so diners have a bit more space.

I think this Rumi's Kitchen location underperforms compared to the locations in midtown and sandy springs. The food is solid but nothing extraordinary, it lacks the thoughtful, customer-focused service that I've experienced at the other locations; servers seem less gracious in their inquiries on additional orders, perhaps more motivated by increase spend and tips rather than recommending signature dishes and drinks. Management does seem attentive, checking with guests, but they also do seem hurried; I suppose a Friday night is less calm than a regular night. Small plates are certainly a better value than entrees, which were underwhelming in size though offering more meat options. Even the wines at $16 a glass were undoubtedly from a bottle not worth that amount, I hope they reconsider getting significantly better wine if they're going to charge those prices. I think at this Rumi's location, you're paying mostly for ambiance and being in Avalon. I hope management improves the flavor of the food served here and retrains staff to a higher standard of service before Rumi's, now with several locations across the southeast, becomes just another middling quality, chain restaurant.

Rumi’s kitchen never disappoints. It’s my go to to entertain family and friends. The service , food and vibe are all amazing. The lamb kabob awesome. My friends enjoyed all the appetizers and their meals.
