Chef Ali Mesghali"s nearly lifelong love of cooking combined with his love for Sufism brought to life for the first time in Atlanta's culinary scene the concept of Rumi's Kitchen in 2005.
At Rumi's Kitchen, Ali has been able to artfully bring together an atmosphere full of joyous energy with attentive and generous Persian hospitality along with the unforgettable unique aromas and flavors of the Persian cuisine which is truly reflective of his simple intention to bring joy and happiness to the overall dining experience of the guests. Every member of the team at Rumi's Kitchen strives in delivering the service that is demanded by such a unique intention and vision.
While Rumi's Kitchen is a Persian restaurant at its core, the menu is constantly supplemented by dishes pulling influences from other countries, keeping the cuisine at the forefront of the dining scene in Atlanta.

    Amazing food and service! We had a wonderful server, Alexzia, who was spot on with the suggestions for food and drinks, checked on us all the time, and made sure we had the best experience possible. Most of our group hadn't been there before, and Alexzia explained the menu and was very patient with us. Every dish brought in was super tasty, and Sea Bass is my personal favorite.

    Jordan was absolutely terrific! He made what was a very nice night and a delicious meal into a memorable experience. Just a delight. Personable, knowledgeable (his reco's were terrific), and very engaging. We will ask for him next time we are there. Great Place and a Great Time.

    Great food and service! Some of the best food I’ve eaten and the service was excellent. Hummus tasted like what I would get when living in Qatar

    As usual everything was superb. From the service to the food to the ambience. We always enjoy dining at Rumi’s Avalon.

    Great drinks, the signature cocktails Rumi’s Old Fashion is delicious. Apps are plentiful and equally enjoyable. The hummus pairing with the herbs is classic clean. Main course did not disappoint. Try the different rice recipes as a break from the regular recipe rice. The beef kebob meat was perfectly cooked and juicy. Just the right amount of seasoning to tantalize the tastebuds. The boat of crème brûlée finishes off the dinner with a scrumptious sweet. Great dinner!

    Rumi’s almost always delivers. Our reservation was for 5 pm on a Saturday . We were promptly seated and the server was pleasant and polite . Food is always great and ambiance is always a plus. Would continue to dine here

    The chicken barg was not marinated sufficiently and bland. For the price, that was very disappointing. Waiter and hostess staff were great!

    Rumi's Kitchen never disappoints! We've been regulars for over 10 years, dining here several times a year, and the experience is always outstanding. The food is exceptional—whether it's the lamb, shrimp, or chicken, every dish is perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. The appetizers are a must-try, featuring fresh olives, walnuts, and other delicious bites. The drink menu is spectacular, with a full bar offering creative and refreshing options. The atmosphere is lively, loud, and energetic, and the packed house adds to the fun vibe. It's a place we’ll continue coming back to time and time again. Highly recommend!
