Rumfish does have the nicest patio in town, if you like a lively atmosphere and don’t mind noise. And the food selection is wide, with good vegetarian options. But the taste of most dishes runs to bland and the quality is mediocre. At the server’s adamant suggestion we tried the lasagne: blah. The chicken entree was overcooked to tough and dry. The hanger steaks were fine, but the sea bass was weirdly gray and tasteless. The cocktails were nice, but if you want truly tasty food, look elsewhere.

The chimichurri on the hanger steak was too spicy with no indication that it was spicy. Otherwise great experience

The Conch fritters lacked definition. Other than that, the experience was exceptional.

Excellent service, terrific food, although options for vegetarians seems to have come down. Lovely ambience. Ask to sit outdoors. Feels tropical, lively, and inviting. Great choices for drinks too. Wouldn’t change anything. It is clearly popular. On a Monday at 8 pm, it was crowded and bustling. We will keep coming back. We have brought friends and family and visiting guests here. Our go to place in Ventura.

really enjoyed everything. dinner for 3 w 1 cocktail each= $175. food was priced tight, cocktails on the higher end. but with that being said the tangarini was amazing!! it’s worth a visit.

Food was amazing. Really happy to find a local spot with unique flavors and food that actually tastes good. We tried the crudo, creole sea bass, pork belly pasole and the bread pudding. Looking forward to coming back and trying some other fished. The restaurant itself is beautiful. Service was ok. The server seemed like she didn’t want to be there. Only bit of enthusiasm we got was when it was time for the check.

The venue is lovely. Great service . Austin is amazing! My friends and I had a great time catching up without interruptions or loud voices around us . If you like to try tacos or Ceviche with a different twist this is your place to go and the drinks are great! The jalapeño margarita the best !

Had the Mahi Mahi tacos. Delicious homemade corn tortillas added an extra umph to this awesome dish. Add a side dish with the plate of 4 tacos and it’s the perfect dish to share. Choose a different side dish other than the coconut rice. It was super dry and hard. They have a good happy hour which includes a few $9 cocktails. The watermelon mojito was refreshing and yummy. It is a fab place for a celebration or a nice place for a date night.
