We were crammed to a table that required people to crawl out the side of back of the table. The bench setting was not good for large parties. We were there to celebrate my mother’s 83rd birthday. She and I both ordered steaks. My steak came out with everyone else food (7 total). We all ate and finished eating but we were still waiting for my mom’s steak. The waitress kept saying 4 more minutes. More than 35 minutes passed before her steak finally got to the table. They did comp her meal but you can imagine the frustration. I felt bad because everyone was there based on my recommendation. She did order her ny strip well done by that is not more than a 5-8 minute additional cook. Still unclear what happened. Everyone kept saying the kitchen was slammed but we all ordered at the same time.

Ruggles is one of our favourite Houston Restaurants. Bruce and crew are fantastic. A Ty art with the crab tower…

We were seating in the patio around 6:45 pm. After we were seated, an extremely bright parking light in the driveway was blinding us. We asked the server if they could seat us in another section away from the bright light. It’s way too bright and way too close to the patio. Several guests around us said they thought they were being interrogated under the bright lights.

The food and service was incredible! Jose was amazing! This is a favorite Houston restaurant of ours. We enjoy eating outside because of the atmosphere and a little quieter scene. And then the bright stadium lights came on from next-door and ruined the mood. not sure why this was added.

Food was excellent tonight and service was great! Our server, Steve was very attentive and extremely helpful in picking our selections tonight.

Great food. Nice atmosphere. Great menu options. The only problem was that the background music was louder than we would like and it was very cold inside. Otherwise a top notch restaurant with a great chef.

Great place for a birthday. Our server Michael was kind and courteous. I love the wide variety of food. Everyone was pleased with their dishes

The food was amazing! I had the pecan crusted red fish and hubby had fish and chips. The carrot cake was amazing.

This was my first time dining here for lunch and I was not disappointed. They still have valet parking which I like and the food and service is equally as good and attentive as if I was dining here in the evening.
