Ruex Cafe and Bar is an all-day dining destination welcoming guests from morning through to late night and offers a unique and refined blend of a café and restaurant. Start the day with our fiery Pork Belly Eggs Benedict or Halloumi Avocado Toast, an elevated rendition of the classic avocado toast. At 4pm, come try our unique Chicken Supreme or Miso Maple Salmon and end your meal on a sweet note with the signature London Fog Creme Brûlée — light, flavourful and adored for a reason.

The brunch sampler was amazing……every bite was delicious. The flavours of every bite was soooo good. Service to match the food quality too. Well worth it!

There was a fixed 5 course menu on Valentines Day for $85. A little pricey but it’s Valentines Day so I understood. I took my wife and daughter. Service was great. However, I missed the fine print and we were each charged an additional $15 for picking the steak option for our fifth course. So now it’s $100 each plus a bottom of wine, tip and taxes the bill came to almost $500!

Are those the server was trying very hard to improve service the food quality was just not to my expectations. Food quality is not well polished the chicken Wellington is very filling and greasy. Huge portion though. Very disappointing with the dessert as it’s supposed to be some kind of tiramisu crêpe but turned out to be a gigantic pancake with some tiramisu filling in the middle and a big blob of fresh cream on the top it’s kind of like Dennys food or cafeteria food. Will not recommend

We had such a good time! We are from the Dine Out menu and I had the vegetarian options which were delicious. Would love for that butternut squash soup to be a regular on the menu moving forward! Our server was really kind and the restaurant itself is beautifully decorated.

The food is always outstanding in this beautiful quaint restaurant. Our dining room server was excellent. It wasn’t until we were moved to the bar that the service declined. It was fixed which was satisfactory to me. I will for sure be back.

Everything was amazing. I would suggest for the prawns in the shakshuka to be less salty 🥰

The food was okay but the service is terrible. Literally had to wait 45 minutes for our food which was lukewarm by the time it came to us. I ordered tea and had to get up and chase down the waitress to get sugar and then again for a stirring spoon. I find this establishment lacks customer service and value compared to other brunch locations places in the lower mainland. I’ve been here before and it’s just gone downhill with food and customer service.

Discovered this awesome place late night - was sat at the bar and really enjoyed everything I ate. Met the owner and got a bit of back story on her establishment, menu and chef… well worth checking out and I’ll be going through the menu over the next few weeks for sure!!
