Ruby’s and Roses is a new dining experience located in the heart of Pleasanton, California, offering an elegant atmosphere focused on American cuisine and craft cocktails. We also have happy hour Tuesday through Sunday 2:00pm-5:00pm.

Very interesting menu, well prepared food and good service. Live music was so loud, and hardwood floors and general acoustics made it a very loud place, which interfered with conversation at a normal voice. Add in large tables of people shouting at each other to be heard. Live music set up at entrance made entrance overwhelming!

I have been looking forward to this restaurant for months and unfortunately, it was less than not good. The ambience is cute date night vibes, but it's very dark inside- so much so that you can't even see your food. We ordered the calamari, garlic lover (bread) and truffle fries for appetizers. For our entrée, we ordered the street noodles with short ribs and the lobster roll. The noodles are overwhelmingly spicy, and it takes away from the flavor. The soy-sesame glaze clashes with the marinade on the short rib, which leaves your mouth fighting for relief. The lobster roll was OK. It was more bread than lobster. The calamari was covered in another sweet chili sauce that was too spicy hot!! Considering the restaurant is very dark, you can't see that the food is covered in a sauce or you're eating an actual pepper when you thought you were getting a calamari ring. The server came to the table a total of three times: and when he came the last time to take our plates, I informed him that the food was not good and his response was, "would you like to see the dessert menu?" ?? As much hope as I had for Ruby's and Roses, I cannot get behind the hype and will not go back!

I think the overall look of the restaurant is beautiful, but I am not in love with the menu choice for brunch. The French toast was too thick and lacked taste. It was not something I enjoyed. The service was great though!

I wanted to give more stars since the place ambience and decor is fantastic! By far one of the best old fashioneds I’ve had in life. Appetizers were so good, fresh hot truffle fries and the fluffy sliders too tasty. But the waiter I had to constantly send other waiters to get him to ask for things and receiving waters after the apps were served after asking twice is clearly a no. My biggest disappointment was the drunken noodles with lobster. The most overcooked lobster served, just insane. Noodles were spicy and flavorful but we could barely get it out of the shell since it was so rubbery. I will give this place another shot but hopefully a different waiter and less rubbery lobster

Came her for the first time for my boyfriend birthday the decor is great the food options great however service was t to par we waited 45 mins for our cocktails then when we ordered a second cocktail it was another 45 mins . We ordered sparkling water which we never received. My lobster in my street noodles was over cooked .. not sure if I’d come back here again I truly wanted to like this place

The waiter was bland, not helpful he didn’t match the atmosphere at all. Food was decent and fresh. The ambiance was beautiful and that’s why we will return when warmer.

What a gorgeous restaurant!! My daughter took full advantage of the various locations for photos. Thank you so much for being a part of an important milestone (18th) for our Princess.

Our experience was not as we would have liked it. At a table of 8 we ended up with 7. Of the 7 present (all seniors) three wore hearing aids which they ended up taking them off.- and the other four of us couldn't hear.We were seated near the bar and the music was way too loud. This was a SISTER reunion and we were"t able hear each other. There were no complaints about the food or the service.-----Mrs. Morgan

The pluses include good service, good food and beautiful decor. The downsides were a very tight table seating where we had to rearrange the table seating to make everyone comfortable and the noise level in the restaurant was so bad, it was difficult carry a conversation with the person across from you. It was very hard to appreciate the full ambience of this restaurant. This is not the place if you want to enjoy having a good conversation with dinner with friends.
