Featured Non-Vintage Champagne
Piollot, "Cuvèe de Réserve", Brut128,00 $US
The heart of Champagne has long been the area between Épernay & Reims. While the region became popular for its quality, it is now home to the largest brands that are forced into industrial sized agriculture. The smaller, more artisanal producers, like Roland Piollot, had to plant their vineyards elsewhere in Champagne. Piollot's location in the Aube, the southern valley of the Seine, in the antiquated town of Polisot allows the estate to focus on natural vineyards, lower yields, & a considerably more natural approach to vinification. We won't extrapolate on Roland's family recipe for compost - don't ask - but believe us, it is more evidence than needed to express their commitment. All of the efforts result in a nuanced & complex glass of Champagne indicative of the care that went into its bottling.

As a senior member of the "Special Club," Nominé Renard and a couple dozen of other Champagne grower-producers have banded together to pool marketing resources for their top cuvées—the only way they could compete with the giant Doms and Dames of their world. Nominé Renard has worked their vineyards since 1960, and this bottle must spend nearly five years in their cellar before release.

White Loire
Featured Loire Valley Wine
Touraine-Chenonceaux, Vignoble Gibault, 202071,00 $US
You can think of the region of Touraine-Chenonceaux as a (somewhat more difficult to pronounce) cousin of Sancerre. Although the soils of the former have a bit more gravel than Sancerre, the two regions share a similar type of crumbly limestone, which gives them both an irresistible mineral streak. The main grape— Sauvignon Blanc—is also shared, however the region of Touraine is generally warmer and therefore produces a slightly rounder, juicier style of wine that is no less enjoyable.

Alsace
Featured Alsatian Wine
Marcel Deiss, Engelgarten, 2016121,00 $US
In a region as old as Alsace, where winemaking dates back to the second century, innovation is usually uncommon and at worst, frowned upon. But that's exactly what makes the wines of Marcel Deiss so exciting (and what makes the man himself so controversial). Instrumental in changing Alsatian labeling laws to allow for blends, he believes more in showcasing the unique qualities of vineyards planted with multiple grapes over the individuality of a single grape. This field blend (of Riesling, Pinot Blanc, and other Alsatian varietals) from the sparse, gravelly soils of Engelgarten is a must for any Chablis or dry Riesling lover looking for something new.

Featured Premier Cru Chablis
Jean-Marc Brocard, Vau de Vey, 2021129,00 $US
"If you ever needed one, Chablis is the almost perfect manifestation, and proof, of terroir itself." - Peter Dean, 2017 Peter Dean's quote speaks directly to the Premier Cru vineyard of Vau de Vey, one of the most beautiful in Chablis. Located directly across the Serein River from the seven Grand Cru vineyards, Vau de Vey shares the same limestone-clay soils as the Grand Crus. As if that weren't enough, the final wine is in the hands of the impassioned Jean-Marc Brocard, whose years of sustainable farming add even more depth & complexity to the final bottle.

Domaine Raveneau
François Raveneau's wines gained a cult following decades ago, with wine lovers around the world jumping at the chance to get their hands on anything available. The Domaine has barely grown in size since the initial purchase of a handful of small vineyards within the best Premier & Grand Cru land right after establishment in 1948. Still farmed by François' sons and granddaughter, these small plots combined only equal about eight city blocks and exist on land more coveted than 5th Avenue.

Featured St.-Aubin
Hubert Lamy, "La Princée", 2020212,00 $US
A great pick for both Burgundy-lovers and newcomers alike, St.-Aubin is a dramatically undervalued region of Burgundy nestled up against two of the most highly regarded appellations, Puligny-Montrachet and Chassagne-Montrachet. Though this domaine was established a mere 50 years ago, the family history of vine growing dates back nearly 400 years and the estate is now run by Hubert's son, who first trained at the inimitable Méo-Camuzet before taking over the family domaine.

Featured Premier Cru St.-Aubin
Jean-Claude Ramonet, "Murgers Dents de Chien", 2019246,00 $US
Pierre Ramonet came to Burgundy in the 1920s with nothing but a knapsack and a hunger to make great wine. Despite starting with so little, he acquired parcels of land in some of the most prime locations in Burgundy and made a great reputation for himself. His grandson Jean-Claude now continues in this humble, hardworking fashion. This Premier Cru, translating to "walls of dog's teeth," refers to the little jagged stones surrounding the vines. If you were to roll one of these stones down the hill, it would land in the Grand Cru of Chevalier-Montrachet–a nice place to be! Slightly higher in elevation for more concentration of flavor, the Ramonet wines are truly ones that "started from the bottom," but are now household names.

Featured Grand Cru Producer
Domaine de la Romanée-Conti
No winery is more famous or produces such legendary wines in Burgundy than Domaine de la Romanée-Conti. The domaine has been co-owned by two families, the de Villaine's & the Roch's/Leroy's, since 1942. Aubert de Villaine, a humble, charming & highly intelligent vigneron, who is acutely conscious of the history of the domaine & the responsibility he bears towards it, has been the manager & face of the domaine since 1991, when Lalou Bize-Leroy left to focus on her own domaine. Often abbreviated as DRC, the winery makes some of the most exclusive wines in the world, and 98% of their vineyard holdings are in Grand Cru vineyards, including their 2 "monopoles", La Tâche & Romanée-Conti. DRC's wines, for those lucky enough to have tried them, are regarded as the pinnacle of Pinot Noir & Chardonnay.

White Bordeaux
Featured Bordeaux White
Château La Garde, Pessac-Léognan, 2019119,00 $US
Although it's primarily known as a stand-alone grape variety, Sauvignon Blanc can also make a great blending partner under the right circumstances. Some of those circumstances include growing in the pristine gravel soils of Château La Garde within Pessac-Léognan & being blended with Sémillon. The soils translate to powerfully pure aromatics in the finished wine while the Sémillon serves to fill out the midpalate & body, creating a whole that is more complex, more intriguing than the sum of its parts.

Featured German Riesling
Piesporter Goldtröpfchen, Spätlese, Bollig Lehnert, 201963,00 $US
That's a long string up German words up there. Let's break it down. Bollig-Lehnert is a tiny family-run winery that own 10 acres of land in Germany's impossibly steep Mosel River region. Piesport is a small town between two 90-degree bends in the Mosel River. Within Piesport are two Erste Lage or Premier Cru vineyards, one of which is Goldtropfchen, which means "droplets of gold." Finally, Spätlese indicates that the Riesling grapes were picked a little late, meaning this wine has a honeyed sweetness balanced by zippy citrus & slate.

Featured Keller Riesling
Keller, "Von der Fels", Rheinhessen, 2020136,00 $US
The G.O.A.T. - Michael Jordan, Muhammad Ali, Wayne Gretzky...there has always been discussion, no matter what the subject is: who is the greatest of all time? Sometimes it's clear cut, sometimes arguments can be made. In the case of dry German Riesling, there is one house that stands above the rest: Weingut Keller. The estate has been in the hands of the Keller family since 1789, and Klaus Peter crafts some of the most breathtaking dry Rieslings in all of Germany, if not the world. Small amounts of wine are produced from their holdings in the Rheinhessen, from some of the most famous sites including Morstein, Kirchspiel, Hubacker and Brunnenhauschen. Typically these are bottled individually in their Grosses Gewachs (GG) wines, but in this case, the "Von der Fels" is blended from the younger vines from these amazing sites. This wine is referred to by many as a "Baby GG", and when experts like Jancis Robinson MW refer to the GG's as "the Montrachets of Germany", you know the juice in these bottles is going to be phenomenal.

Featured Grüner Veltliner
Malat, "Höhlgraben", Kremstal Reserve, 202077,00 $US
It's a shame that the wines of Austria don't garner the same excitement as the other great wines of the world. The country shares a centuries-old winegrowing history with much of Europe dating back to the Celtic tribes & subsequently the Romans. Their leading grape, Grüner Veltliner, has been around for roughly a thousand years & yet it has only recently started gaining traction. This is a textbook example of exciting, mineral-driven Grüner made by Michael Malat, the 10th generation of Malats to make wine at the estate.

Featured Italian White
Girolamo Russo, "Nerina", 2020102,00 $US
Etna is unlike any other wine producing region in the world. Most notoriously known as the home of Europe's highest active volcano, Mount Etna, one would not consider this to be an ideal place to grow grapes; dangerously steep rocky soils, unpredictable weather, and the threat of volcanic eruption at any point! Very few are up for the challenge of making wine under such extreme circumstances. The work of these daring vintners combined with the region's indigenous white varietals result in wines like "Nerina": energetic fruit and fresh minerality with an elegant structure—making Etna Bianco the next big thing for Burgundy lovers.

Featured Margaret River Riesling
Leeuwin, "Art Series", 202058,00 $US
As one of the first five wineries in Western Australia's now world-renowned Margaret River region, the Leeuwin family is among the country's winemaking royalty. But don't let that fool you--this dry Riesling is not meant to be sipped pinkies-up from the finest crystal (although you certainly could drink it that way). This is a working man's nobility story; the Leeuwins transformed their cattle ranch into a world-class winery roughly 50 years ago with the help of Napa's own Robert Mondavi. Fast forward half a century and not only is the family still at the helm, but they're also still making wine accessible to anyone and everyone.

Matthew Wallace, "Hardin Ranch", Napa Valley, 202079,00 $US
Matthew and Alicia Harden can trace their family roots back to some of the earliest settlers in the Napa Valley–the earliest of Matthew's predecessors came to the Pope Valley as a 49er from Kentucky in 1852. Matthew has partnered with California legend Thomas Rivers Brown to craft the wines from impeccable sites throughout Napa and Sonoma. An 1881 issue of the Napa County Reporter refers to the Hardin Ranch as, "the garden spot of the world," and the fruit from this vineyard has always been heralded as some of the best in the Valley. Located on the morning side of Howell Mountain, the vineyard benefits from an early blast of sunlight, imparting a beautiful, supple fruit quality, while retaining intense minerality from the gravelly mountain soil.

Featured Beaujolais
Régnié, Guy Breton, 202098,00 $US
For the region of Beaujolais, the 1980s were simultaneously a bright and dark time. Beaujolais Nouveau, a simplified, generic version of Beaujolais, gained popularity across America, but that popularity started to adversely affect the way all Beaujolais was made. Luckily, four courageous vintners stood up to the commercialization of their region and started to promote the individual terroir of each of Beaujolais' distinct crus. Guy Breton was one of those four, and his Régnié couldn't be further from generic. With dark brooding fruit and a silky rusticity, it's the definition of terroir.

Under the mentorship of his father, fourth-generation winemaker Jean-Marc Pillot has raised his family's already renowned estate to an even higher standard by boasting a newly renovated cellar, tightening vinification quality measures and expanding the estate's vineyard acreage. While his white wines take the spotlight, his robust yet soft Pinot Noir bottlings fly under the radar. "Mes Vieilles Vignes" comes from 60-year-old vines and offers a stunning value-driven representation of Chassagne-Montrachet's terroir and of Pillot's skillful yet gentle winemaking philosophy.

Featured Gevrey-Chambertin Premier Cru
Camille Giroud, "Lavaux St.-Jacques", 2011294,00 $US
Maison Camille Giroud is known to be one of Burgundy's most reputable boutique "negociants", sourcing only the finest wines from the best vineyard sites tended by small, passionate viticulturists. This particular Premier Cru bottling comes from one of the highest regarded vineyards in the category, second only to its immediate neighbor to the east, Clos Saint-Jacques. The unique position of this Premier Cru vineyard at the mouth of an east-west valley provides both southern exposure (& therefore maximum sunlight) as well as a funnel for western winds that cool the vines down nightly. This combination is ideal for a slightly leaner style of Pinot Noir with the elegance & power that Gevrey is known for.

Featured Grand Cru
Grands-Echézeaux, Domaine du Clos Frantin, 2016632,00 $US
Grand Cru Burgundy may be the heaviest titled wine of them all. Sacrificing none of the delicacies or nuances while also featuring depth & concentration, the classification is understandably hard to live up to. This unique site receives a more significant downdraft of air which keeps the vines cooler and yields a wine of exceptional elegance and balance. These wines perform best when allowed to purely represent the vineyard with little to no bells or whistles.

Red Bordeaux
Featured Bordeaux
Château Belgrave, Haut-Médoc, 2017159,00 $US
A Grand Cru Classé wine from an exceptional vintage lends itself to incredible aging potential. These bottles have been resting for nearly a decade in the underbelly of the winery, their only other home before making their way to our cellar. A delicate, yet powerful, balance of bright ripe fruit & rustic terroir, this wine's pedigree is shining through beautifully.

Featured Côtes du Rhône
J.L. Chave, "Mon Coeur", 202074,00 $US
If ever there were a name synonymous with the Rhône, it would be that of Jean-Louis Chave. The family began making Hermitage in 1481, passing down wisdom through the generations to create some of the most perfectly balanced wines available. Traditionalists to the core, the key to the perfect balance of his wines is the remarkable blending skill, which is showcased in all of his wine from the top Hermitage to his thoughtful Côtes du Rhône.

Featured Barbaresco
Moccagatta, 2019126,00 $US
Once kept in the shadows of the family business in Patriarchal Italy, recent societal changes are bringing forth a new generation of women in wine. Among these rising stars is Martina Minuto, who serves as enologist for Moccagatta and is the now fifth-generation proprietor of the estate. Perhaps it's the nearly 40-year-old Nebbiolo vines, maybe it's the female touch, but this is Barbaresco at its finest, with elegance, finesse, and substantive depth.

Featured "Super Tuscan"
Grattamacco, "Bolgheri Rosso", 202189,00 $US
Founded in 1977, Grattamacco was only the second winery of the Bolgheri appellation in Tuscany following the formation of the famous Sassicaia estate. At the time of their foundation, wines of their style would be released to the public simply as "Vino da Tavola" or table wine, an inaccurate representation of the quality of care that went into the winemaking. The "Super Tuscan" moniker is a reflection of these winemakers' desires for non-conformity and not to be restrained by the inflexibility of regional wine laws. Grattamacco's Bolgheri Rosso is primarily Cabernet Sauvignon with Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Sangiovese. The resulting wine is an excellent option for fans of Tuscan-influenced, polished Cabernet or, alternatively, rebels & revolutionaries.

Featured Argentinian Malbec
Catena Zapata, "Paraje Altamira", Uco Valley, 201979,00 $US
The Catena family not only has strong roots in Argentinian winemaking, they can also boast some of the very first. Nicola Catena, an Italian immigrant, planted his first vineyard in Mendoza, Argentina in 1902. Now in its fourth generation as a family-run winery, each generation has played a major role in enhancing the reputation and quality of Argentinian wines. This single-varietal Malbec is sourced from the estate's own 30-year-old, high-altitude vineyards in the Uco Valley, a prestigious sub-region of Mendoza.

US Pinot Noir
Featured Pinot Noir
George, "Hansen", Russian River Valley, 2021112,00 $US
George Levkoff has quite the impressive resume, including a graduate degree from University of Chicago and a decade spent as a US bond trader, a job which he abruptly left to start an internship at Williams Selyem Winery in order to explore his true passion for wine. The best part? He is the least pretentious, most caring farmer you'll ever meet. He makes Pinot Noir that reads Burgundian on the nose and Sonoman on the palate, only makes three cuvees, and even more incredibly, only makes 200 or fewer cases of each. Who better to create and personally bottle your Pinot Noir than the same person who cares for the vines year round?

US Cabernet Sauvignon
Featured Cabernet Sauvignon
Sinegal, Napa Valley, 2019154,00 $US
Although it is one of Napa Valley's newest wineries, Sinegal inherits the long tradition of the property it now inhabits: Inglewood Estate. The family now at the helm is the fifth to own the estate since the first grapes were planted there in 1881. They pride themselves on the rich heritage they were given in 2013; a heritage symbolized by the skeleton key on their minimal label, the same as they were handed down upon ownership. But all of this doesn't mean they are stuck in the past; in fact, they have made impressive technological advances in the winery that prove they look to the future as much as the past.

Sancerre, Henri Bourgeois, "Les Baronnes", 202049,00 $US
The Bourgeois family of Sancerre has ten generations of combined wine growing under their belt. So in tune are they with Sauvignon Blanc & Pinot Noir (the grapes of Sancerre) that they have partnerships as far as New Zealand to expand upon their viticultural knowledge. The quality of 'Les Baronnes' begins in the vineyard, located along the ridges that separate the villages of Chavignol & Sancerre at the foot of the Côte des Monts Damnes hill. This part of the appellation is so prized that you'll find the Bourgeois neighbors to be the most iconic of producers. Starting with grapes from land that esteemed, and then tended by the hands of the knowledgeable Bourgeois cellars, one can easily appreciate how this family is one of our prized features.

Realm Cellars was created with a mission to produce Bordeaux-style wines at the highest level in the Napa Valley. Their only white wine, Fidelio, is an ode to the Sauvignon Blanc coming from their French counterparts. Make no mistake, this wine is Napa Valley through and through, but via the lens of Realm's signature finesse and elegance. Following fermentation, Fidelio is aged in neutral barrels to lend a beautiful rounded texture. Crisp, but with weight, acid, and thrilling fruit, Fidelio will accompany a wide range of dishes.

Featured Tokaji Aszú
Tokaji Aszú, Royal Tokaji, "Déli Fekvés - 5 Puttonyos", 2018125,00 $US
Tokaji: a dessert wine so nuanced and impressive that Catherine the Great set up a garrison in the town of Tokaji to protect its delivery. Emperor Franz Josef sent Queen Victoria bottles religiously for her birthday. Louis XV referred to it as the "Wine of Kings". Beethoven, Peter the Great, and Thomas Jefferson preferred it to all other sweet wines. Don't you want to join this company of characters?

Elevated service. Absolutely a level of sophistication among the staff. Chic ambiance. The best oysters, I’ve ever had. Creative things amongst the sauces and garnishes. It’s giving Major Food Group level service. I want to eat more things from the menu. Can’t wait to try the other RPMsCet avis est-il utile ?

The service was okay, at best. The host had a clear attitude when we got there, and he was very dismissive. Our server, for some reason, whispered while he was talking to us, which was weird. The food, overall, was okay. My steak was good, but my Caesar salad was terrible. I am hopeful that this is just an off night for them.Cet avis est-il utile ?

We live in the neighborhood and this is our go to place. Kind of like visiting family. Eddie and his co-workers are always so welcoming and go the extra mile to make us feel at home. This evening in particular, the table by the window was amazing and since we were bringing some newer friends with us it really allowed them to have an amazing night. Highly recommend this place on the river.Cet avis est-il utile ?

1st time at RPM Seafood - we loved it. Jenn was a fantastic and very energetic server. Everyone was very kind to us. Good menu and great view on the river. The strawberry sorbet on the creme brulee was one of the best things I've ever had in my life - simple yet so very refreshing. I wish they sold it by the gallon to bring home.Cet avis est-il utile ?

Good food, great ambience (if you get a patio table) and overall wonderful dining experience. It would be even better if they offered children's menu for families who are dining.Cet avis est-il utile ?
