Had a 7:45 reservation, didn't get a table until 8:05. Food was good except the grilled crab was overly smokey.

We just had dinner here tonight and my entire party cannot stop talking about what a letdown the entire experience was, including food, from start to finish. It was a busy Saturday night and we arrived for our reservation a bit early, we stood waiting for our table until 20 minutes after our reservation time and were finally seated. Once we sat down, someone came to take our drink orders. We ordered our drinks and she later delivered them then asked if we wanted to place an order for food. We were confused as she never introduced herself and seemed quite annoyed to be talking to us. We then asked for recommendations and she didn’t have any. When we received our food, we were instantly disappointed. We ordered the Parker rolls, olive oil shrimp, curry lobster, scallops, lobster fried rice, and whipped potatoes. The only items worth eating were the whipped potatoes and the rolls. Everything else was bland, under-seasoned, and overcooked. I am honestly baffled as to how this restaurant stays busy as I can’t imagine many return. I will not come back and this makes me second guess the other RPM restaurants.

5 Stars – Exceptional Experience at RPM Seafood! From start to finish, my dining experience at RPM Seafood was absolutely amazing! The ambiance was perfect—elegant, yet relaxed, with stunning views of the river that added to the overall vibe of the evening. The service was top-notch, with a knowledgeable and attentive staff who made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. Every dish we tried was a true culinary masterpiece—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The seafood was cooked to perfection, and the variety on the menu made it hard to choose! From the appetizers to the desserts, each bite was better than the last. It’s clear that RPM Seafood is committed to quality and excellence. I can’t recommend it enough for anyone looking for an unforgettable dining experience. I’ll definitely be back!!

With reservation there was a 30 minute delay. Food was good, but not excellent. Boka chicago is a better experience for the cost

All of RPM’s restaurants continue to maintain great quality food and amazing Chicago views/neighborhoods!! We went family style and had perfect portions for 4 and certainly recommend Red Snapper tempura and if you are a Lobster purest, you can ask for that (e.g., Red Curry lobster w/o the sauce!). The mixed grill is flambeau table side (nice pic/video opp). Little loud the later your reservation but also has great views riverside!!

I booked a table because I was in town and wanted some good seafood. This place is coasting on reputation. It was 60$ for three decent drinks, $14 for super dry focaccia, and 40+ dollars for 1/4 lbs of rubbery scallops. The black bass was fine, but it was also +40 dollars for single piece of OK fish. It’s definitely a place to seem important and like you know what good food is.

Service was amazing, food as well. A bit pricey compared to Iowa, but seems to be in line with other restaurants in the area. Definitely would recommend for business or personal dining.
