We had a 5:00 reservation (due to a show at 7:30). We arrived 15 minutes early but we had to wait for our table for over 30 minutes. The restaurant was not very busy yet. We requested an outdoor table on the water, and paid (extra for the table) for the reservation by confirming with a credit card. Once they took us to our table, it was not what we requested, even though an empty table was open where we wanted……and we confirmed all this with a credit card. It took forever to get someone to take a drink order. The food was good but not fabulous. The wines by the glass were not great. We were there early……I can’t imagine what it is like by 7:00pm. They need to get their act together.

We always loved their swordfish dinner, which is why we went there. It is no longer on the menu. So my wife ended up ordering a steak medium rare. The first one they brought her was well done. We had them make her another one and that one came back well done also. My tuna was just ok. Nothing special. Not sure I would return.

Wonderful experience before the show, My Crab Cake was excellent and the lemon potatoes were delicious. I also purchased one of the candle "Sandalwood" which had such a lovely fragrance.

Had a 7:45 reservation, didn't get a table until 8:05. Food was good except the grilled crab was overly smokey.

We just had dinner here tonight and my entire party cannot stop talking about what a letdown the entire experience was, including food, from start to finish. It was a busy Saturday night and we arrived for our reservation a bit early, we stood waiting for our table until 20 minutes after our reservation time and were finally seated. Once we sat down, someone came to take our drink orders. We ordered our drinks and she later delivered them then asked if we wanted to place an order for food. We were confused as she never introduced herself and seemed quite annoyed to be talking to us. We then asked for recommendations and she didn’t have any. When we received our food, we were instantly disappointed. We ordered the Parker rolls, olive oil shrimp, curry lobster, scallops, lobster fried rice, and whipped potatoes. The only items worth eating were the whipped potatoes and the rolls. Everything else was bland, under-seasoned, and overcooked. I am honestly baffled as to how this restaurant stays busy as I can’t imagine many return. I will not come back and this makes me second guess the other RPM restaurants.

5 Stars – Exceptional Experience at RPM Seafood! From start to finish, my dining experience at RPM Seafood was absolutely amazing! The ambiance was perfect—elegant, yet relaxed, with stunning views of the river that added to the overall vibe of the evening. The service was top-notch, with a knowledgeable and attentive staff who made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. Every dish we tried was a true culinary masterpiece—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The seafood was cooked to perfection, and the variety on the menu made it hard to choose! Literally was my favorite part of Chicago. A beautiful restaurant made even better by insane views, delicious food and drinks, and great service! It’s definitely worth the money, I would recommend to anyone!
